Deliciously thick collection
This is a wonderful collection of Jumble puzzles. They're the same stuff as the ones I get in the paper everyday by Henri Arnold, Bob Lee, and Mike Argirion. There are 511 puzzles. The first 480 puzzles have four scrambled words and one "solution phrase" each, plus the usual illustration. The last 41 puzzles have two extra unscrambled words each. There is one puzzle per page, so the puzzle is blown up to a huge size, which makes it easy to see and solve. There is a lot of white space around each puzzle, which helps because you can use it to write on as you try to figure out the correct letter combinations.AND... the answers are all in the back, so you can check your answers. Or take a premature peek. This book is huge, like a phone book, but probably not as heavy. Perfect for Jumble addicts. The highest price Amazon is asking for is $13.57 (with super saver shipping), which is a bargain, considering the list price is $19.95.Other books just like this include:* Colossal Jumble * Generous Jumble And, I'm pretty sure,* Jumbo Jumble: A Big Book for Big Fans Enjoy!

Jumblepalooza
Yowsah! "Giant Jumble" offers up a whopping 511 puzzles. The Jumble has been the first thing I do every morning after I bring in the morning paper for years. It's an addiction. Well, this is just the fix I'm looking for.The first 480 puzzles are just like the daily Monday-Saturday puzzles: two 5-letter words and two 6-letter words, followed by a "punny" solution. The final 31 puzzles--the "challenger puzzles"-- consist of six 6-letter words each. To be honest, I wish there were a higher percentage of these "challenger puzzles."In addition to enjoying doing the Jumble, I also play a lot of Scrabble. Fortunately, the skills for one help sharpen the skills needed for the other. And these 511 Jumbles will keep me busy for a while...a month or two, anyway. And at less than three cents a puzzle, it's a real bargain. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

This is great
I love it. I got it for my dad after he had a stroke. He had always been a huge fan of the Jumble - did it every day in the paper. After his stroke, he was pretty wiped out and couldn't see very well. This was perfect. It was nice to come into the hospital every day and see another jumble filled out or partially filled out. The print is so big - one jumble per page - that it made it a lot easier on him. And of course the puzzles are really cool.

Thank goodness they keep thinking up puzzles
My husband and I have done 1-2 Jumble puzzles every morning of our 15 year marriage. Some are easy, some are so hard that we spend the morning thinking and then going back to it. We have differing ways of approaching it - I must be looking at the letters to make a word, he keeps the letters in his head while solving it. It must reflect how our brains solve problems - he's an engineer, I'm a writer. The picture puzzles are usually clever and amusing. I like this much better than crossword puzzles - I'm not sure why because I like words. These are mostly words we all recognize, you wouldn't think they would be so hard. Keeps the synapses snapping!

Ended up with a used book
My complaint isn't with the book, it is with Daily Deal who sold it. Not knowing the cost of this thing I paid 5 time the cover price and received a used book. Won't be dealing with Daily Deal ever again. As for the book, it was a gift for my 90 year old mother who couldn't see the Jumble in newspaper any longer. She is happy doing her daily puzzle in this thing.Did I mention my dissatisfaction with Daily Deal?

Great Mental Exercise!
This is the second 500 puzzle book I have purchased. I use it every morning with my mom who is 93. We do the puzzles together and sometimes she does them by herself. It is great to keep her mind active. The large print is wonderful. We have had lots of fun over the years doing these puzzles in the daily newspaper. Now the book is terrific! We can do more than one each day and have the answers if we mess up!

LOVED IT!!!!
I bought one for myself and gave one as a gift to my third grade teacher. She and I LOVED IT and I personally became addicted to it. Once I started doing the puzzles, I wouldn't be able to put the book down until I did at least 15 to 20 of them at a time. lol.

Not happy
The book material is what I wanted, but the exterior was in very poor condition. I am planning on giving this to my senior citizen father for Christmas, but will no longer do so. It appears very cheap due to its condition. Do not feel it was properly represented when I purchased it. Would have never done so if I knew it would look very shoddy!!

400% Bigger than in the Newspaper
Jumble puzzles are fun and provide a good distraction for the commuter or someone who wants to wind down away from the computer or TV screen. The books features one puzzle per page--which means they are 400% larger than they appear in the newspaper. This is great if you have vision issues, but not great if you want more puzzles per book.Nonetheless, fun and interesting.

A Lot of Fun for the Money
Giant Jumble offers a lot of fun for very little money. I enjoy unscrambling the words because it is so good for spatial memory development. Having done that, the bonus of a very witty joke awaits me. I can't ask for more!
