Loved using these all the yrs. growing up on Maui. Mom kept these in the kitchen drawer or in her sewing box. One-hand operation; super easy; super sharp. Always keep these CLEAN and DRY and occasionally VERY LIGHTLY OILED w/ machine lubricant (NOT vegetable oil from the kitchen!) for long life. Great to have found these @ a very reasonable price on Amazon, as there are NO Japanese dry goods stores anywhere near North Baltimore. The Asian gift shop staff @ the Smithsonian Sackler Gallery on the D.C. National Mall knew what these were when I asked about them recently; however, the shop did not stock them. Thank you, Misuzu & Amazon for offering them here! I use these for small sewing tasks sometimes, but most of the time, I carry them in a zipped pocket in my kite backpack. Great for one-hand snipping/trimming of kite lines (cuts/trims very well even up to 500-lb.+ test Kevlar braided line) when flying in the field. Fumble-free! Important Note: Just remember to take them out of your carry-on & pack them instead in checked luggage when traveling, as the vigilant TSA guys @ airport security will definitely confiscate them!

糸が切れるか切れないかといえば、かろうじて切れる、という感じです。全く切れないわけではありません。ただ、刃と刃のかみ合わせが極めて悪く、また握った後の戻りも鈍いです。以前つかっていた美鈴のにぎりばさみ（貰い物）があまりにも良かったので、一番形と色が似ているものを選んで購入したのですが、ものとしては雲泥の差でした。値段に釣られた私が良くなかったのでしょう。この値段だから仕方ない、と納得せざるを得ないですが、この値段＆この質の商品層を充実させるくらいなら、きちんとした質の少々値のはるラインナップを充実させた方が良いのではないでしょうか。

切れ味の悪さは値段的にこの程度なのかと思います。大事に長く使用するなら買わない方が良いと思います。

昔ながらの糸切りばさみを探していた伯母の依頼で、注文しました。価格が安かったので、どうなのかな…とは思いましたが、ほぼイメージ通りだったようです。
