Why did you pick this product vs others?: I chose this product because it uses oxygen as well as enzymes and I needed a hail mary for my septic tank this winter. It was too wet to bring in a big truck to empty it without destroying my property and the smell was beginning to back up into the house. I used 3 to start with, as recommended, Wasn't thrilled to use 3 as these are VERY expensive. But it worked, within a day I could tell the smell was lighter and by day 3 it was gone. I have continued to use once a month and honestly I don't think I even need to have my septic pumped anymore. My ONLY downside being how expensive these are. Still I highly recommend them.

I inherited a septic system when I moved into my current land lot. People who have previous lived here had used the system. I recently experienced a drastic backup of the system even though I had used septic treatment stuff. Effluent was not being transferred to the leach field. As a result the feed pipe suffered a blocking clog. Using a clog busting auger I was able to reach the clog via the septic side feed pipe and bust it. All the waste buildup then flowed out into an overflow ditch I dug from the bottom pipe access. I dropped 3 tablets into the receiving tank as recommended by company guidelines. I also dropped 3 tablets into the overflow output tank which also had sludge buildup. The leach field piping was totally compromise and was not properly installed, as I discovered from digging it up. After 30 days I inspected the effluent in both tanks and found the waste sludge buildup had not diminished. I had not flushed down any harmful chemicals nor human waste that would compromise the tablet's effectiveness. So I think the effectiveness of the tablet's ability to break down the solid part of the waste has been oversold. I will still have to pump out the tanks.

Saw this online and looked through Amazon and purchased it here. Very pleased with Septifix Septic Tank Treatment Tabs. Very easy to use. However, I broke mine in half, so I have to hear it clanking through the manufactured home pipes. Highly recommend!

These do not work at all. USED TWO OF THEM. DIDNT DO A THING.. what a waste of money.. im going g to ask for a refund because it does not do what it says it will do at all..
