Milani Color Statement Lipstick - Best Red (0.14 Ounce)

I found a tube of lipstick that I hadn’t used very much and it turned out that it looked gorgeous and it smells like strawberry! I found it duplicate right here, and I opened up the tube of lipstick, and it smells like strawberry too! I’m not exactly sure why the lipstick manufacturer isn’t marketing it as something like, the lipstick that looks and smell smells like strawberries This has a really nice smooth application, and it lasts a really long time. And there are a lot of different colors, but I decided to make red my signature color. 💋💋

I bought a handful of different Milani lipstick brands and the orange gina was one among them because I love orange and orange-based red lipsticks. Once I read the reviews for this one, it was a no brainer for me. When I first applied it, however, my very first reaction was that I didn't like how it felt on my lips. I usually buy glossy or creamy lipsticks which I have to, due to my very dry, easily "chapping" lips so this more matte version felt dry and grainy. Note though, that it only felt grainy but didn't look grainy. Another reviewer mentioned "rusty" which is probably what I am talking about, in different words. Also, with one coat, the orange gina didn't add much oomph to my skin. I am fair-skinned but not pale fair. For reference, the classic ivory CoverGirl foundation is what works on me. Having said that, I found it interesting that the lipstick gave out subtle gold sparkles with just one coat. It took me coating it 3 times to get it's full shimmery effect. This color is quite hard to explain. It's definitely orange but with golden shimmery undertone. I am not the kind of gal who likes nude lipsticks, I like my lips to pop so I decided to add a colorless gloss over the 3 coats of orange gina, and voila! That created the effect I was looking for! Also, the grainy effect on my lips disappeared when I added the gloss. I don't know if the grainy effect is a manufacturing thing or it feels grainy on people with drier lips like mine, but whatever the issue, goes away with just one coat of added gloss. One of the pictures is of me with just the 3 coats of orange gina in indoor lighting and the other is with the 3 coats + 1 coat of colorless gloss in outdoor lighting. I really like the effects of this lipstick with the gloss. It makes me feel sexy without being flashy. Also, I'm an artificial redhead and this color complimented my hair. I wore this to an interview (not a job interview) and felt very confident.I think this is one of the kind of colors that will go with any skin color and will definitely pop for ladies with medium to dark skin. I strongly recommend this lipstick to all ladies as I think its a color that will work on all skin tones and can also be made to look subtler or grander with gloss. I hope my review was helpful.

The quality and price are great, but the tubes of lipstick always come individually wrapped in a white label that leaves a persistent sticky residue when peeled off. This collects powder, etc. from the other items in your makeup drawer, is unsightly, and feels icky to the touch. You have to use Goo Be Gone to remove it, which is a problem in itself since that goo remover leaves a strong, lingering scent that isn't pleasant.

This is my first Milani lipstick, and I'm definitely a fan now! I ordered this because I basically have no makeup, and while I live in Haiti where I sweat off most makeup, I like wearing lipstick which tends to stay put better, and which gives me a finished look even when I'm hot and sweaty (nice visual, I know). So I'm crazy about purple and had the genius idea to google "best drugstore purple lipstick." This one showed up on a couple of lists. And so I picked another one that is much more blue in the undertones, and this. This color (Uptown Mauve) is more fuschia than purple, and that's a good thing, I think. It goes on really great. Creamy, and smells nice. It's super well pigmented, so you need to have a steady hand. I had the genius idea of applying it in the car after we picked it up from the place we had it shipped to. There's no hiding a shaky hand with this color! Those who are wiser than I might do well to invest in a coordinating pencil or lip brush. Now the color. Oh goodness me! I didn't know how great this would look on me! I'm well tanned with dark (graying) hair and dark eyes. I also have full lips, and this is such a gorgeous GORGEOUS color on me! It actually looks perfect as the only stitch of makeup on an otherwise bare face, which is the way I'll tend to wear it much of the time. Maybe a bit of mascara. I think I actually prefer this to a red lip, or maybe I need to invest in more of a berry-red. It's classy, and it makes me look "expensive" even when I'm not trying. I'm checking out the other colors as we type!

Milani are right on top of their formula game with these matte lipsticks, i absolutely love them and will continue to purchase them until i have each of the shades. The formula is extremely comparable to macs matte lipsticks which i think is crazy considering these are a third of the price. The pigmentation is on point, the colours i have so far are beautiful and they last well on the lips if you dont consume anything oily! I am also in love with the packaging and think that they look really expensive on display so they sit next to my mac lippies! I actually moved some other high end lipsticks out of the way to make room for these because they are so beautiful. Highly reccomended affordable lipstick that performs like a high end product.

Another really pretty shade from milani. I love their formula. It glides on nicely and stays put for a few hours before wearing down. Love love love! Highly recommend any of these lipsticks. A little swatch of the product itself.

I really like Milano products and the lipstick was as good as I expected it to be. Enough slip to glide on well, and good colour payoff.

Very pretty colour and long lasting

My favorite ever!! I bought a lot of lipstick in my life, and not the cheapest, great brand lipsticks at 40$ at sephora. But my mother gave me this one, and i totally fell in love!! Such a great color and it's stay on as much as the faciest lipstick! I hate lipsticks that are shinny and gooey, and this one is definetly not like that! It's mate, and soft. I like puting it on because it's smell like white chocolate! Really! And I'm not worry to kiss my boyfriend with this lipstick. If I could, i would tattoo this color on my lips. I bought 3 pack of the same color because I'm so in love with it, and I don't want to run out. I don't usually go crazy about a lipstick... i don't know what's happening! But it's been a year and I still love it and wear it every day.
