I took a chance on this as others had theirs arrive with broken lid as well. There is nothing but a thin piece of paper between the lid and the crock itself. They are lightweight clay pots that break easily. They work great. Seller should package them with better packaging so they arrive in good condition! What a waste! Very disappointed in the packaging as I love this crock and have used one for years.

Even after spraying this with cooking oil the eggs unfortunately stick and it's frustrating to try and scrub it clean after every use. Also, if you add cheese or vegetables it will take longer to cook the eggs without them being watery

My family uses this mainly for cooking sunny side up and scrambled eggs. This allows you to avoid cooking on any bad oils and does not burn your eggs. At the same time, no need to over cook food.

I have used this item for years. I have bought 8 of them and they heat well. BUT the lid is fragile and when it falls from even 6 inches it shatters.
