NOT fine.
Descriptions by the manufacturer indicated this was "fine" excelsior... it is NOT. I received coarse excelsior. I will include a photo of what I received.

Good price. Not for gift baskets..
I like the value aspect, good product for what it is. For gifting it has a bit of a sloop look to it and an earthy soil s smell. I like it, but I can see it causing allergies for some. It made my nose itchy putting baskets together. I’ll use it up but wouldn’t repurchase for my specific projects.

Perfect gift box filler
This was exactly what I needed to use in the gift boxes I made for my bridesmaids. The items in the boxes would have been too heavy for regular paper filler. Fair warning, this stuff is definitely messy, I had to go outside to break it apart and place in all my boxes. This was also great for keeping the items safe through shipping to some people out of town.
