Softer bristles than others just like this in design!
Not all these brushes that look exactly alike, are the same! Because of a weird hair condition that happened to me, I have become a PhD on how to deal with it, and what products work, or don't. Although this brush looks like two others I purchased, the bristles make it entirely different and entirely worthwhile! I took a chance when I ordered this, hoping that it might be this way, and I am so glad I did! The bristles on the three different brushes all have the same idea as how they benefit. Hair is way tougher than we could ever imagine. It's amazing how you can shave it, brush it with bristles, and do all kinds of things to remove it or at least release it from growing under the skin, and have no effect on stubborn hair. The bristles on these brushes are designed to cut through, or break the hair as you rub it around. The difference is in the stiffness, and how sharp the points are. This brush is substantially softer than the other two. It's still stiff enough with sharp enough tips to do the job. Because it's just a bit softer, more pressure can be applied, and it can remain flat on the skin as it is being moved. This means that those hairs that are the toughest and deeper, the ones that are the problems, can be taken out. The other brushes are so stiff and pointy, I could not use them on my face unless using really light pressure, with an angle to the bristle. This brush you can put it flat on your scalp or face and rub it around and it is not too sharp or painful. You still have to use reasonable pressure and common sense, but I used this all over my body, and there wasn't any place too sensitive, including my face. If you are struggling with a hair problem; first my heart goes out to you, I know what it's like. Secondly, this brush is not only worthwhile, it changed my life! Obviously there are a lot of products to choose from here, and other places that coincide with the use of this brush and to help you deal with what's going on. I have tried a lot of them, and I have some recommendations. There is one product called Tend Skin. It is a great product to dry the hair that is under the skin, and to dry the skin that it is covering the hair so that it will give up. It's about six different kinds of alcohol and it will sting you like alcohol does, but it works tremendously. The balance between drying it out so you can get it to release, has to also include softening the skin and dissolving or softening the hair. There is a product called Vanish pfb that does this. It is a roll-on product, and it will literally melt away dead skin and hair. Both of these products are available in abundance here on Amazon. Best of luck to you, I understand. Jim

Great tool for hair & head
Love these scrubbers. Works great for hair mostly. Can be used on other areas gentler.

Takes Getting Used To
This brush definitely does the job for ingrown hairs and razor bumps, but it’s a little painful at first. The bristles feel really sharp on the skin until you get used to them. After a few uses though, it’s effective and leaves skin smoother. Not the most comfortable at the start, but worth it for the results.

Good scrubber
This is rough and a great for exfoliating. Keep in mind that it is hard plastic and nonflexible, good for arms and legs. Used it for the first time yesterday and it worked as expected.

It works, but it's sharp
It works well, it definitely cleansing off the dead skin cells, leaving your skin feeling smothe. The only reason I took off 2 stars is because it damages the skins moisture barrier, and occasionally left my skin feeling sun burnt, I didn't scrub hard and only in the shower with water and or soap. It only worked if I used it once a month and heavily moisturize after, or it would leve my skin red and irritated. Unfortunately I thought ohhh I'll give it another few months, so returning it wasn't an option sadly. That being said, I gave it 3 stars because it does come apart and clean well, and the handle and sturdy plastic make it much easier to use with soap! Less slippery than my alternative. Make this with smaller less sharp nubs, make them rounder, and I think you would have a very successful product for people with sensitive skin!

Doesn't work too well dry, works wonders in the shower.
I've used this product twice now, once was dry, which really wasn't doing much, but since it's the winter months and I notice that a lot of dead skin will come off of me in the shower when I rub my upper arms with a lot of effort, I decided to try it before I used body wash. It was a little rough, but this really does wonders if you have a lot of dead skin, so much that I decided to use it as a "loofah" for a second round with liquid body wash. My skin has not been this soft in years. As for the main advertised purpose - I haven't noticed a difference, however, I'm sure with at least bi-daily use with removing the dead skin that traps the hairs, it will work in no time. I wouldn't recommend using this on your face or neck, it's a little uncomfortable even just touching your face due to how rough it is on sensitive skin. A little thing though, they do say that it is easy to hold but it took me a while to figure out how to hold it exactly. It's a little awkward regardless of the way you decide to hold it, in my opinion.

Easy to clean and not harsh bristles
The bristles aren’t as sharp or harsh as they look. I love that it’s easy to take apart and clean. The handle really helps. This is my favorite so far.

Harsh but worth it
I was pleasantly surprised by this brush! It's a little on the painful side, but the results are worth it. I get really bad ingrown hairs on my legs after shaving. It had gotten the point where it was ridiculous. Even with a good exfoliation & shave cream, I still got ingrown hairs. It's like the leg hair grows back *just* under the skin, which then itch like crazy. All it takes is one absent-minded scratch to inflame them, and then I've got red, itchy bumps all over my legs. So I ordered this in desperation, hoping it would help. And to my surprise, it actually did. With the first use I got a smoother shave then I've ever gotten on my legs, and my skin was much softer. I've used it every other day now for a week, and the itchy bumps are almost completely gone. I still have some ingrown hairs, but it's nothing like what it was, and my legs are getting a little better each time I use it. Just FYI - the directions don't say to do so, but it helps to use shower gel. Just a little bit of lather seems to help it glide better. My *only* complaint is that it is almost too painful to use, particularly on sensitive skin. It's okay for my lower legs, but anything above the knee hurts. It's just too harsh for sensitive areas, even with the lightest touch. Honestly it makes me cringe. The backs of my legs are agony, and it was just as bad under the arms. Unfortunately the backs of my legs are the worst for ingrown hairs, so I've been gritting my teeth and powering through it, but MAN does it hurt! Worth it, though, to get rid of the itchy bumps. **I'm fed up with fake reviews, so just FYI - this is a real review, by a real person, who really did pay $10.97 for this brush and who has actually used it!**
