Good quality, fair selection of colours, good price, but noxious odour
You need not hesitate when purchasing as the colours seen in the photo accurately reflect those delivered, in my case anyway. The overriding issue for me was the odour that they may have had, and unfortunately I was only able to reduce it, not eradicate it. It's a noxious factory odour, as is common with this kind of product, and for the first couple of days airing it will fill the room, however this becomes less noticeable thereafter, unless placed directly under the nose.DEODOURISING1. I tried lightly sandwiching each sheet between newspaper, but after twenty four days it made no difference.2. After this I decided to pack the sheets more tightly with a top loaded weight, waiting for ten more days, but still no difference.3. Then, as the weather improved, I left them indoors under direct sunlight (UV), which may not be recommended for colour vibrancy. I was able to do this for a few days only, but it didn't work either.4. Another day I left them hung outdoors to sunbathe in a mild wind (12℃ with a humidity of 22%, with a 12mph wind, on a light crisp day, for four hours of prime sun exposure), but still no difference afterwards (and I don't recommend using clothes pegs as they predictably leave an impression where clasped, even when padded with a pocket tissue). All in all the foam will not lose its factory odour. The only other technique that I could think of would be to put them into the oven, but that would spread the noxious odour around the room, so I'll cut my losses and just accepted that it come with the territory. The remaining odour after initial first few days airing is only really noticeable when an inch or two from one's nose, so nothing much to worry about, it just depends on the application.CUTTINGIn case anybody it wondering, I used some cookie cutters to get a perfect shape from the foam, but there was a technique to it:1. The foam must be placed a top of the upturned cutter shape (“blade” up).2. Using the back of a spoon rub with increasing pressure, in a circular motion, over and over until the "blade" shows through with the shape cut.3. Thread on stick, or glue together using a glue gun.If you try to apply pressure as if cutting out sought then it doesn't matter how much human force is applied to the cookie cutter will not pierce the foam.Perfect results every time !
