Just what I needed
Have only used once to clone a C: drive from 256GB to 1TB since I was running out of space. Easy to insert the new drive - no tools needed. Can't speak to speed of data transfer since I didn't test and there are multiple variables. Seems well made.

Works great on PlayStation 4
I’ve tried several different external enclosures and they all didn’t work with my PS4. This is the only one that was recognized by the system. Paired it with a compatible NVME like the Crucial T500 and everything is working perfectly.

Great enclosure
Quality enclosure from Adata. Made in Taiwan. Tool less design is easy to open. I was able to screw in the retaining screw without a micro screwdriver. The RGB is bright and has a rainbow waterfall effect similar to what you’d see in their RAM. The status led is easy to see. Overall, excellent for the price compared to Asus ROG.

Works and looks great
Its got a solid aluminum case, assembly and swapping of the drive can be done toollessly, with a small finger screw inside. It so far fits a 2TB Teamforce M.2 with the copper graphene heat spreader preinstalled without issue. The package comes with a small metal plate and thermal pad to provide mess-less contact with the lid of the case, but was unnecessary on the 2TB - but does ensure contact with the lid on the 1TB. The case acts as a heat spreader and with the 2TB running Batocera, it did not get hot at all (warm, yes but definitely not hot).

Great build quality
Overall, warms up less than other enclosures and feels very well built. The screw used is also very convenient for installation and connection is not spotty at all. Good quality.

This is an awesome enclosure that works perfectly with m.2 SATA and NVME drives
I used this to clone a laptop m.2 2280 NVME drive to a larger one, and a Chromebox 2242 m.2 SATA drive to a larger one. In both cases the cloning process with Clonezille was lightning fast and flawless. I've never been impressed with USB speeds, but thing has changed my opinion completely. One problem though, and the idiot is I, not the enclosure... To open, you depress a latch, and slide off the top. The first time was a bit touch.. The mounting screw has a groove into which you slide the half circle of your drive. I made the mistake of mounting the screw on top of the drive, which raises it. This makes the latch more diffficuptnto close, but MUCH more difficult to open... When I finally realized what an idiot I was and corrected it, it made the enclosure easy to close and open. Anyway, I'm happy I bought this. it's a great product.

Has the potential to be great! But this product fails in numerous ways.
I've used ADATA products without issue for many years and will continue to do so. This is clearly a one-off product that wasn't properly QC'd, and a V2 of the device could fix a lot of issues.1: The USB-C connector does not follow USB-C standards, it is NOT reversible. So you may notice and become frustrated that a drive is not being detected. The LEDs will still come on no matter the polarity, however, the Drive Data will only be present when the USB-C is connected in one orientation, this shouldn't be the case, it should be that the enclosure works in either direction. I tested this with multiple known working certified USB-C cables.2: The included USB-A to USB-C cable does NOT meet spec, if you use the included USB-A to C cable, the drive will only give you 50% of its capable performance, maxing at 480 MB/s, when using a certified USB-A to C cable, I was then able to achieve the full 1000+ MB/s speeds. This was tested across multiple known working USB 3.0/3.1G1/3.1G2 ports. The included USB-C to C cable does give full speed, but as stated in the earlier post, needs to be oriented correctly. This also applies to the USB-A to C cable on the C side.3: The LED function while cool, is NOT customizable, you cannot control the LEDs via software, it is a continuous rainbow effect. This isn't a huge showstopper like the other listed issued issues, but this could be added in a future revision, and make it so the drive retains your LED settings. Also, there is no way to turn off or disable the LEDs, this can be an issue/annoying in situations where you need your data but don't want to be a multicolored lighthouse. Even if ADATA doesn't want to add LED customization, at minimum a physical switch or button could be added to turn off the LEDs or even change to preprogrammed patterns. The unit is very sturdy in terms of design with great workmanship, it has a very solid build quality outside the technical aspects. This could be a great product, however, in its current form, I would not recommend this enclosure, unfortunately.
