The cute little dog sitting so sweetly on this chair can get really worked up and she loves to do zoomies between the kitchen and this chair -- she slams into it and with my plank flooring, the chair slides into the bookcase and wall behind it scratching the paint and knocking stuff out of the book case. I tried other things, but these work great. The lip on them keeps them in place and they really stop the chair from sliding nearly as much - better than I even expected. The floor is protected and so is my wall and bookcase, and little miss Rosie gets to do her zoomies damage free!!!

I have 9 furniture legs (4 on a love seat and 5 on a big couch) but only bought 4 to test if they really do work. I have tried a lot of different sticky pads but they eventually get squished and break or streak the floor. So far, these work great! I have laminate wood floors and put 2 on the back legs of the large couch and 2 on the back legs of the love seat. The front legs of both furnitures do not have any. So far just having 2 on each has kept the furniture from sliding across the room, even with wild kids and a big dog jumping on them. I can’t say for durability yet as I have had them for only a few days. I am still deciding if I’ll buy more for the other legs, honestly, so far they aren’t even needed. They do what they’re supposed to do! Finally a solution to sliding couches!I do want to mention they did smell very strong like rubber. When I opened the bag they came in, the smell was horrible. I left them outside for a couple days to air out, washed them with soap and water, then put them outside again for another day. They still smell when up to my nose and left a smell on my fingers, but I can not smell them at all in my room where they are used. It’s a pretty big room but even with windows closed and sitting on the furniture no one smells them. My dog, on the other hand, can apparently smell them still because I catch her lawing at them.

Have tried many non-slip casters that didn’t work very well. These are the exception. Had a problem chair that kept sliding on our wood floor when people sat down in it, but that chair hasn’t moved in the three months since we started using these. Definitely recommend.
