Great for long-haired cats. Fur comes out easily and also removes fur from furniture!
I wrote a review for another version of this brush - different color, different vendor - but recommendation still is the same. Great for our long-haired cat AND great for removing fur from furniture. Gently using wire end makes kitty very happy and her fur very pretty. Would be great for small dogs. Larger version of this brush for dogs is also excellent. Our yellow Lab loves being brushed and this is the same brush our groomer uses. Removes LOTS of dog fur and the fur comes out easily and cleanly. Highly recommend.

Does Not Remove Excess Fur
I got this brush because our cat is plagued by hairballs, and I wanted to remove loose hair from her coat before she had a chance to lick it up. She was leery of it at first, but now that the brush smells more like her, she even lets us brush her belly. We don't use the side with stiff bristles at all. It seems meant for a different kind of coat--long or wiry. (Ours is a short-haired cat.)But this brush does not remove excess fur. It quickly holds all it can (which isn't much) and then starts depositing loose fur back onto the cat's coat. I haven't found a good way to clean it.

Works fine, but the pin side is really loose
Works fine, but the pin side is really loose, I think they will start falling out soon. The bristle side is packed so tightly it doesn't seem to brush very well. But it does what it's made for, and I don't need to be yanking my Morkie pups hair out anyway.

Great size; pins slip too easily into brush
It is a great little sized brush for small pets! Wish i could have kept it - - but the metal pins randomly pushed into rubber the base of the brush within a week of owning it. Pulling them out again to full length wasn't something I wanted to keep doing. I loved the size though.

Perfect size for a 20lb
Perfect size for my 20lb basenji mix. Her favorite side so far is the brush. I put it in her toy chest and she brings it to me, when she wants to be brushed. Let's just say, I took it out of the toy box...my arm was getting too tired brushing her.

This brush has been amazing for removing the mats in my long haired cat's coat. As all pet parents can attest, getting rid of mats can be painful for kitty and human alike. But this removes the tough clumps quickly and easily, with minimal pain for all. After removal of the clump, my kitty loves the massage she gets from the rest of the grooming!

Double sided Combo Brush for Cat or kitten
shipping was good. Used on my 2 himalayan kittens. Worked good while they were little, they are now 8 months and this brush doesn't comb through the hair anymore. Good for kittens. Wire bristles are breaking after using few months
