Seems to be helping!
This appears to be really helping my cat. He was suddenly struggling with very clogged anal glads- licking constantly, losing all his fur under his tail. Our vet expressed his glads and then I started this supplement, and it seems like he has remained way more comfortable, and he hasn’t started up that licking again, leading me to think that he has been able to express them on his own again. He also has no problem eating it with some wet food and a splash of water.

Great Product That Actually Works
My cat has not had anal abcess since I have been using this for about 6 months. Before then he had them about every 3 months! Vet recommended I have anal glands removed he had abcesses so often. I didn’t want to go that route for many reasons so I read about Glandex and thought I would give it a try. It works for my cat and I will continue to use it. If you have a cat with this problem, try it. It is cheaper than going to the vet every few months and my cat loves the tuna flavor.

Cured pooping- defecating outside of the box with UTI
I am writing this long review to hopefully help another cat owner that is going out of their mind, dealing with their cat suddenly defecating outside of the box with unexplained UTI’s. Two years ago, our sweet little 8 yr old Turkish Angora, an otherwise perfect cat, began going outside of the box. She would usually poop right outside or near the box, sometimes on a rug, a few times on THE BED! She ruined two Persian silk rugs and an antique arm chair with the accompanying UTI. It created a daily nightmare for us, where were we going to find it. Anyone else surely would have given her away. It created shame and disappointment for her as well. We could tell she wasn’t happy about what was happening. She’d run away and often hide. For two solid years we searched for answers, websites, trainers, sprays, calming collars, calming supplements, um-teen different litters, litter boxes, crating, mats, scat mats, prescription food- all advised by Vets- all recommendations came up blank. We spend THOUSANDS trying to find the answer. Vets varying Diagnosis- Depression Stress Trauma Spite Anger Behavior LETS PUT HER ON XANAX (NO THANKS) LETS PUT HER ON ANTI DEPRESSANTS (NO THANKS) Our other cat Our dog Something in the house she must be scared of The litter The type of litter box Buy an auto box Location of the box Add a box to every room Crate her Train her Diet Her gut microbiome Prescription diet! Allergy Fleas Intestinal parasites. Crystals maybe in her urine LETS DO $250 blood work! IT WAS NONE OF THOSE THINGS! During our very first Vet visit for this she had a UTI and they extracted a full anal gland. The pooping stopped for a few weeks but then came back and a new UTI followed. This was usually the order of things. I kept insisting with every vet that there’s a pattern but was dismissed every time. They all said impacted anal glands and or an issue with anal glands and cats is very rare. It likely behavioral. Our second to last visit 10 weeks ago, with a newer vet believed it was her gut microbiome. I disagreed as she’d already been on prescription food for this for a year with no change. I had to insist on extraction. She too said anal gland disorders are rare. She had us run labs again, urine-analysis and culture. All negative as we suspected. She kept insisting it’s her gut microbiome, keep her on the costly prescription food. Sure enough a UtI popped up a week later. I brought her back in and this time was seen only by the vet tech. I told her what we’d been experiencing. I said I think it’s an issue with her anal glands and she’s giving her self a UTI by licking, trying to relieve the discomfort. She quietly agreed with me and asked if I’d tried GLANDEX. Pulled it up on Amazon for me and sent me the link. I ordered it immediately and sprinkled it over Reveal canned wet food. Within one day the defecating stopped and it’s been this way for almost 6 solid weeks! I’m now only giving it to her every other day as a treat with the Reveal wet as it’s pricy, however, I recommend this combo because it’s what worked for us. Our little Demi is very proud of herself now, we praise her every-time we catch her coming out of the box and she trots away with confidence. Happy ending to a long, costly nightmare. Thank you Vetnique and of course the vet tech. I hope this helps whomever out there is experiencing what we went through!

Not as helpful as we hoped
This was recommended by our vet as one of our cats was scooting quite a bit and has to have her anal glands expressed every couple of months. No change to her condition she still scoots and probably will have to take her to the vet for anal gland expression pretty soon. But the product was very palatable to both our cats to the point we had to make sure the intended cat was the one who ate it. Otherwise the other cat would try to switch dishes. So results wise, your mileage may vary. Update: I increased a start to reflect how pleased I am about the seller's response to my review.

Huge Improvement in Short Time
Very pleased with results so far. Our 7-year-old tuxedo cat has scooted for years and nothing we did helped. I was taking her to the vet every few months to get an anal gland expression at $75 a time. The last time I had it done for my cat, she started scooting again the very next day. It was desperation to help her feel better that found me researching this product. In the week or so since we started sprinkling it on her food, we've only seen her scoot three times and for only a few seconds each time. Big improvement from multiple times a day and scooting across long stretches of carpet.

Why add pumpkin seed?
I am disappointed that they decided to add pumpkin seed. They changed the container and changed the product. My cat won't even go close to this. She loved the old formula and that is why I bought it again. This item is NOT eligible for return, so I wasted $25.00! Not sure why companies can't leave a good thing alone.

No More Butt Scooching!
I bought this because one of my cats would hop up on the couch for pets and then the next thing I knew, she would throw her legs over her shoulders and scooch her but on the couch. Sometimes it would leave a stinky substance which upon further research I learned was her secreting her anal glands. Turns out cats need more fiber so that their poop is firm so that it pushes on their glands when they poop and naturally secretes them. So I bought this stuff and have been giving it to both of my cats at feeding every night. Now her poops are hard and firm and really easy to scoop instead of loose and runny. Best of all, no more anal gland scooting! Whew! Also, I give her half the recommended amount and it seems to work fine. They both seem fine with the taste of it. I mix it into their wet food.

Usually good. But I’ll buy it from Chewy next time.
Be advised that you can’t return this product if you have a problem. Although the product in general has been effective and my cat likes it very much, this item (lot# 5FTP001)was very different. My cat wouldn’t eat it or food that touched at all. I’m sorry I can’t return it so that they’ll could identify the problem. I bought it from another source, and with a different lot number, and he loves it again!

My cat has been struggling with recurring anal gland issues, which, as any cat owner knows, is no fun for anyone! After several trips to the vet for expressed glands, I decided to try a supplement to see if it could help support healthier gland function. I'm so glad I did! This anal gland supplement has made a noticeable difference for my cat. Since starting him on it, he's had far fewer issues. No more scooting, licking, or that awful fishy smell! He seems much more comfortable, and we've been able to avoid those frequent (and expensive) vet visits for gland expressions. The supplement itself is easy to administer. It comes in a powder form and I mix the powder into his dry food. I appreciate that it contains probiotics, fiber as well as digestive enzymes which seem to be contributing to his improved digestive health, which I understand is linked to anal gland health. Of course, every cat is different, and what works for one might not work for another. But if your cat is experiencing anal gland problems, I would definitely recommend talking to your vet about whether this supplement might be a good option. It's been a game-changer for us, and I'm so relieved to see my cat comfortable and happy again. It's definitely saved us both a lot of stress (and money!).

After some research, I bought this for my overweight cat who has gland issues, and I also give it to my long-haired cat to help his digestion. We were giving them both pure pumpkin puree but wanted to transition, because while the puree worked great, it’s high in sugar and isn’t conducive weight loss. The Glandex works GREAT—both of them are having amazing movements now and are doing better than they were on the puree. Our overweight cat, who needed to be wiped every time she went to the bathroom about a month ago, no longer needs to be wiped at all and has not needed to see the vet or have her glands expressed at all. I will say, however, that if you have an overweight cat like mine (who’s around 7kg/15.5lbs), you may have to give them a higher dosage. At the suggested amount, the Glandex wasn’t working as well as the puree, and our cat became constipated. When I upped it from one scoop to about one and a third, she’s doing much better. It’s also extremely important to ensure that your cat is getting enough water with their fibre. Cats are bad at drinking water, and while wet food does have some water, it may not be enough to relieve constipation. I’ve found that adding a splash (roughly a tbsp) to their wet food with the Glandex provides enough water for them to have a good movement. Overall, I wish there was more in the container, but we’re really pleased with the Glandex and will be buying it indefinitely!

Before buying this my cats recently have been booting and leaving a mess I’d have to clean up and one of my cats poop was smelling a little bit foul. I did my research so I bought glandex to try it out and the first day I used it his poop did not smell bad ! They haven’t booted either. And they been more playful and happy. ! I definitely will buy this often moving forward. And switching up their food diet also has improved. I just mix the powder with wet food or dry and a bit of water and they love the taste of it. It has worked for me , it may not work for others but honestly give it a chance to know if this is what the problem is or not take your babies to the vet. All the best for your fur babies

Brilliant, only thing that's works and works very well at that.

Saves us vet bills by mixing with every treat we give our cats, and haven’t had a repeat of UTI since.
