unusable do not buy to use in USA

Watch out - this item needs 240 volts and being internation - $100 usd to return - ug!
Looks nice, but this item has a 240 volt built in transformer and not a 120 volt so - no good for the USA - and it was not shown in the description - plus to return it costs $100.00 as it is international --ug! - so, Mr. Amazon - am I stuck with something I cannot use?

Requires 240 volts
The doorbell operates off of 240 volts. This was not explained clearly in the description. There is no way to convert it to 120 volts. A waste of money for me.

Better build and sound quality out there for less
Purchased as new build fitted chime upgrade to work with google nest hello door bell - following reading on line to reviews. Don’t make the same mistake - it only has an 8v transformer built in and not the 12v required to power the hello door bell. Sparkie tried to retro fit with a 12v transformer but it literally fell apart, the thinnest of internal wiring - very flimsy. Ended up using the orginal Deta C3501 door chime shell and chime and it now all works a treat. Heard this Chacon chime once on pre nest door push - sounded ok, a bit tinney but not as loud as the Deta. 2 stars - if you want a wired chime bell there are cheaper and better build and sound quality out there.

Poorly constructed.
Does what a doorbell should do. Rings when the button is pressed. And it was super easy to install. However, one of the screws for the power inputs was not attached and went flying out the box when i opened it. And the part that strikes the metal plates to make the ding dong is incredibly loose and makes a constant buzzing noise. At first i thought it was a power issue and it was going to blow up, until i started poking things. Not impressed, can't live with the buzzing/vibrating. So I'm probably going to have to buy a different one.

Works brilliantly with Arlo Doorbell
I bought an Arlo Doorbell (not the video doorbell) for my Arlo system but like most popular smart doorbells they can only operate with wired chimes which operate between a specified voltage range. Arlo Doorbell requires between 8V and 24V. This usually means finding and chime between 8V and 24V and buying a transformer. But this has an 8V doorbell and a built in transformer making it look aesthetically more pleasing and it works a charm!Finish quality wise it's probably average as far as wired chimes go but when it's up on the wall, its fine.

Nice ding dong sound
Yes we installed it after a bit of advice from an Electrician. It looks modern and clean. It functions as it should. Nice ding dong sound. We are personally delighted.
