Diaper Pins
I bought these for use on diapers, have not used them yet as my granddaughter is still in disposables, when they run out we'll use them then & they seem to be good quality...

Nice safe pins- good quality- great opening and closing mechanism
I have to wear doo-rag / skull caps for medical complications. I have arthritis and cannot great the back of my neck to tie the ties of the caps so I thought I'd give these a try. They work well for my purpose, they are sharp and go through the two layers of the ties easily. It is comfortable on the pack of my neck and for sleeping and more comfortable that the knotted tie. So no experience with baby diapers.I have attached pics. I purchased the black plastic. Back of package says stainless steel and rust proof, made in Taiwan. I have not put them in the wash yet, but the Q&A suggests they don't rust following the washing machine and they stay closed keeping pairs of socks together. One pic confirms with the ruler that these are 2 inches (50m mm) from end to end of the plastic head. The overall metal pin part is 1-1/2 inches (about 37 mm).The pins open with a twisting motion of the metal pin. The plastic part does not move. I have a couple of pics showing the locking closure. One the flat side of the plastic head is a V-shaped opening the metal pin comes out of (or into when closing), it is about 1/4" (5mm). Another attribute of the plastic head (see pic) is that it is a little bit rounded, so the motion is kind of a slide then up and out of the groove, a very good safe locking mechanism. The metal pin to open/close is a little firm, so I doubt a baby could get this open, along with the plastic opening mechanism in the head.Overall pleased with this purchase. If you like the experiments and details and found them useful please hit the helpful button, it provides motivation to take the pics and do the measurements for this wonderful community. Not the Least Bit Sharp
I suppose that if you're buying these decorative, large diaper pins for diapers, you may be satisfied, although I doubt it. I bought them to pin a winter scarf to my winter coat so I wouldn't drop the scarf every time I removed the coat. What I discovered was that the pins are not the least bit sharp and absolutely would not penetrate the very thin material of my puffer coat. I certainly doubt that they can penetrate a much thicker cloth diaper. I tried more than one pin, but none of them had a sharpened end. One of them even broke when I was opening and closing it. I doubt they could even be use for crafts, much less what I wanted or for diapers.

Does what it should do
Love the color options and the safety design. I had similar when my daughter was a baby. My grandson took after her, tall and slim. So now we use these safety pins to snug up the waist just like I did years ago for her. These are black, which hide well in dark clothes too.

I use them for several things besides diaper pins.
I use them everything except a diaper pin. I place large bath towels over my easy chairs and these pins to keep the towels in place. They don't pop open and it's easy and convenient to remove the towels for washing. I also use them for keeping the bed skirts in place. Plus being an older women I find pants designed for the older woman the waist is usually too large for me and altering the waist is costly. So I use two of these pins on either side of the small of my back and take in about an inch and a half on each side. But yes, for my dress pants I have to have them professional altered. I'm sure there are many more uses out there.
