These smelled wonderful. Fresh. I use these in making Indian Garam Masala, and garnishing whole hams.

Dried cloves are a staple in our kitchen. Use for ham, pickles and so much more. It's an indispensable item.Amazon offers this 2 oz package and it's just what's needed. I smells fresh, looks flavorful. Just as good as it comes. Transfer it to a glass container with a tight lid and you will have month upon month of deliciousness at the ready.

Purchased as an ingredient in making my own tooth powder for friends and myself. Package has a top resealable press- together kind of closure, which is nice. A large bag. Cloves are 99% whole (very little dust) and are strongly scented/flavored. Has a 'best used by' date of a few years. Nice! There might be a better deal out there in less cost per ounce, but I am very happy with this purchase and would do so again.

What this is:This is a product of China. It is 2 ounces of dried WHOLE cloves. Perfect for hams. It comes in a regular cellophane bag. It will need a clasp to keep shut or transferred to a jar.Opening the bag, I can smell the scent of clove. The cloves themselves are whole. I don't see broken ones.Tasting one by itself: It has the sweet flavor. It numbs my mouth as I expect clove to be. It has a heat to it similar to the heat of cinnamon sometimes.How I tried it:I made chicken and rice dish. It used cloves, cinnamon, cardamom. It called for whole spices. I tossed it with the chicken. Add rice. Add water. Cook until all is done. The spices blended wonderfully. I couldn't pick out the cloves, but all the three spices together tasted delicious.5 stars because this does the job of what I need cloves for.

I love cloves. I love the flavor and scent of cloves. I grind up cloves in a coffee bean grinder and generously add it to my pies and other baked goods. These cloves are very good quality and I can't find anything negative to say about them. I am very happy to have had the opportunity to review these cloves. I could smell their lovely scent even before opening the bag.
