Bought it to weigh tongue of box trailer to not exceed tongue weight.Connected to a motor puller/cherry picker to lift tongue scale.Bottom line it works and was accurate. Used 200# of known weight to check scale accuracy.Simple to use.

Worked great and heavy duty

I like this hanging scale. I use it to see how much heavy items weigh, whether slinging from a crane or a loader. The top clevis looks rather light duty, but so far it is holding up very well. The user interface is fairly intuitive although right at first it takes a little to learn the operating procedures. I feel it is accurate as well and is repeatable. Overall, for the price it is a really nice digital scales that can weigh up to one metric ton.

It is sturdy, and as far as I can tell so far, once it gets going it does its primary function - weighing stuff - well.I deducted 2 stars for the following:a. I think it's inconsiderate and poor business not to include batteries.b. It should default to zero decimals. I don't care about decimals when I'm weighing a thousand pounds.c. Crazy setup for making changes, including having to use a PASSWORD!d. I must press the bottom button on the scale (mine says "EXAMINE") within a few seconds of powering on, otherwise the scale shuts off. I don't think it even says that in the instructions (if you want to call them that).I continue to try to buy US made. There is more common sense built in stuff made in the US.UPDATE 10-23-24 From 3 to 2 stars because several times today (after just one day) the remote would not work. It's more likely to work when the scale display is lit (not dim), but sometimes the remote is like dead regardless of the scale status. I checked the batteries, and they're fully charged.I don't like returns, but this has been a frustrating purchase that may have to go back.
