Bought this for my car that doesn't have Bluetooth so I can use my phones audio and charge it. Audio quality is decent there is some buzzing probably from the power supply but it charges my phone fast. Only issue is that it gets pretty hot. I don't think it's a fire hazard but beware of just grabbing it after charging for a while.

I bought this product at the end of January 2024 and have been using it with no issues. It worked well to charge my phone (albeit slowly) and listen to music at the same time. However, today it suddenly stopped working. It now:1. Overheats and becomes dangerously hot when the charging cable is plugged in2. Does not charge my phone3. Does not work with my headphonesSo it basically ceased all functions after just a few months and is completely useless now. I gave it 2 stars because it was great when it was functioning properly. I'm hoping the seller reads this review and is able to send me a replacement considering they state there is an 18 month warranty. If they do, I will update this review as well as my rating.**UPDATE 5/28/24**The seller has sent me a new dongle and it is performing just as well as the previous one. I am hoping the one I had before was simply faulty. I am changing this review back to 5 stars. If something happens to it in the future, I will post a new update.

I use it to charge my phone and use actual wired ear buds while I drive. The only thing I am dissapointed with is that most of my ear buds also have a microphone, and it does not work with that at all. I had to use the basic buds that came with my Roku as microphones are almost a standard for earbuds any more. With the basic earbuds it works fine, and allows the phone to keep it's charge as well as play music. I generally don't like bluetooth while I'm driving, so these were a great option for me. I do note that when I make or receive phone calls with the non-mic ear buds, the phones microphone works well enough that I can use it hands free, and I still hear the caller on my earbuds. Decent for the price.

As many of us who don't want to use bluetooth headsets, it's a real disappointment that new Samsung Galaxy 22's no longer have the aux jack plug to use our corded headsets. I was excited to find this product that allows for both charging and headset at same time. There are a few companies that sells these. I choose the ZOOAUX because I liked the name. :-) This works beautifully for me at home. I can charge and speak at the same time. We bought 2, one of which goes in my husbands big rig truck. I noticed when I speak with him I heard my voice echo back to me. Only calls from him. We tried things out at home seemed ok, got on the road and same issue occurred. ZOOAUX reached out to me and sent another version where the charger plugs into the side. I hear a buzz feedback at times with that one. hmmm my guess is there might be too much going on inside a big rig cab (CB, camera, logging system, GPS) and it's causing some issues at times. Probably 50% He doesn't hear any of the feedback I hear. Make sure that everything is plugged in tightly or you will hear noise or buzzing and if you unplug and try to plug back in you will find that the call dropped. This has been the case with 3 of these plugs. I have no issues at all with calls to anyone other than to the big truck. Music plays back fine when headset plugged in even after I just hung up from a noisy phone call. We have new phones, new cords, new plug ins and these adapters. I was happy to find these and not have to replace my headsets. Despite the issues wih the truck these are still much needed and appreciated. The customer service I receive went above and beyond and I write this review without compensation. It's a great find.

I picked up several of these as my latest Pixel 8a doesn't have a phone jack (a complaint for another time) and neither does my Samsung S9 FE tablet.They're working fine with both. No audio issues and charging supports USB-C power delivery (PD). I'm currently charging my tablet at ~8W using the adapter and a USB-C charger which is what it pulls without the adapter in between.If you unplug the power the audio stops while it changes to power from the device. But it's a brief change over and you just need to start your music again if it was playing (similar to if you just unplugged headphones).I enjoy the "split-wire" arrangement as it's pretty compact and gives flexibility in what direction things are connected from. The "minimum distance" from device to when the wires can bend is pretty short so it doesn't stick out a lot. Not much more than a normal USB adapter would at least.Overall very please.

My adapter refuses to keep a constant connection, audio keeps going out and what's worse it refuses to stay charging as it continues to lose connection, with these kinds of adapters you need certain cables to be able to charge and listen, but these failed when I've had no problems with past adapters I've had. Definitely a disappointment for me------------------------------------Edited on 4/17/2023They contacted me through email, and while I rarely use it they were really persistent on making things right and sent me a new adapter, the sound quality is amazing and there's no cuts in audio whatsoever aside from connecting a charging cable while audio is playing but that's completely normal and continues the steady connection after it adjusts. I don't ever do reviews and this is my first ok amazon, but I'm happy to say the customer service is the best experience I could have for my first review. I'm assuming what I initially got was indeed a fluke and sending me the initial product was just a rare chance of getting a faulty product but I'm happy to say they will respond to an error and fix things, if I ever do need another adapter I will definitely be buying from here again!
