Misleading Description and Product FAILED - JUNK!
June 20, 2014 Update: These bulbs are a dime a dozen and none of them will get you past six months. The fact that suppliers are beginning to offer a six month warranty is at least better than before. If you want a long lasting bulb, you will need to got to the Phillips or the original version. But don't be fooled, many claim to be "JVC OEM", which is deceptive. Instead, it means that it fits the OEM JVC television. I am on my 10th bulb over the past eight years... not too bad, but it is only because my original OEM bulb lasted four of those years. It is getting expensive to own this television set. My next bulb... is a new TV!April 4, 2013 UPDATE: This bulb failed. The reflector material crazed & cracked causing the bulb to go "dark"... that is, I could barely make out he picture on the television. This only after five months of service? My original worked perfectly for four years! And I do not watch my TV all that much either. I would really prefer to get my money back! DON'T BUY! JUNK! JUNK! JUNK! DON'T BUY!Original Review, Nov 1, 2012: Okay, I've replaced the projector bulb on my JVC television four times over the past several years and have paid much more, so the price is right! I was curious how this bulb could be a much better price... I found out... the description said that the bulb was "by JVC" and the description says, "This is a Brand New Factory Original Lamp installed in a Brand New housing..."I know that this bulb is NOT a factory original... I've seen several and still have the one that came with the TV... why I kept it is beyond me. This rings of "false advertising" in my mind so I called Amazon; they offered to refund my money, but I needed the bulb; it was the middle of the 2012 World Series... and so it is installed in my TV and working well, but for how long? These items have a highly variable burn time... I'll update this posting when it goes poof.I think that when an item is described as a "Brand New Factory Original Lamp" that it should be exactly that, not a knock off made in Mexico.

Like a glove
I found what I believed were exactly the same product elsewhere for nearly twice as much, so a great deal (especially with the free shipping). The unit arrived well packaged and I found no damage to what is a very fragile type of bulb and casing. Very easy to install (took me longer to move the TV set out). I would say it took me about five minutes or less from the time I opened the cover to the time I turned on the set. When I turned on the set again it worked right away. I don't consider myself "super" handy either. I'm very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to others.

Works well for as long as it works
The JVC rear projection television I purchased this lamp for (and four others from various sources over a few years) worked quite well and produced a nice, bright picture. At least, for awhile. The problem was both in the TV itself and in the expectation JVC set up by telling owners that you might get a couple thousand viewing hours from a lamp, and in the nature of cheap after market bulbs in general. The original one lasted 1,325 hours. Each of 2 of these after-market ones lasted just 890 and about 1,000 hours. If you have a lot of money, or a TV that must have a regular supply of these, then this model is the best I've found. The other lamps I had purchased trying to save $20-$30 bucks lasted about 75% as long.It is too bad that in an otherwise wonderful SD TV, these expensive lamps were such a weak point!

Product Worth Buying!
I was a little hesitant to buy this item because there are some not so good review, but I decided to buy it anyways, and was very pleased with it. I had no problems with it fitting in my TV, or tightening down, or with the picture being dull. Everything worked out just great and I was so happy that I tried it even though it wasn't the "name brand" version. I felt that my purchase was well worth it and I would recommend anyone to try it out for themselves and save a ton of money from buying other brands. Hope you have the same experience as I have. :)

A very good deal and simplicity itself.
I purchased this lamp for my 7 year old JVC 52 inch LiCoS TV. The original lamp lasted the full 7 years. I was not looking forward to replacing the lamp because a friend of mine had to replace the bulb in his JVC TV many times many years ago and said it was expensive and a pain in the a**. Not so with this one. The bulb was already installed in its housing and all I had to do was pull out the old housing with bad bulb and slide in the new one. Process took about 30 seconds and the TV looks as good as new. The product was shipped very quickly and was very nicely packaged to ensure that no damage occurred during transit.

Electrified Replacement Lamp for JVC Rear Projection TV
This is the third time I have purchased a lamp from Electrified. The customer service at Electrified is great, the product was packed well for shipping, and the lamps fit perfectly. Results may vary from tv to tv, but my lamps typically last for a couple years. I keep a spare lamp on hand, because you can't predict when the lamp will finally quit. And, when it does, expect it to be at the most inopportune time. All you need is the model number of your tv, which is typically located on a sticker, usually on the rear of the TV.As always, read the "How To" for your TV and follow all recommended safety precautions before changing a lamp.Electrified-recommended!

worked but blew out in 2 months, warrenty claim in works
Bought two so I would have one as a backup the next time the lamp blows. Well, it was two months. I put the other one in and working fine. I wrote the supplier an email and we are in the process of working a manufacturers warranty claim. The product information stated it came with a 120 days manufacturer warranty. We shall see what happens so far they were prompt and courteous. Lamp looked like the original and fit just right.

Didn't last long but I expected it
I'm on my 2nd lamp from this supplier. The first one lasted about 9 months with occasional use (not our main family TV) but for the price, I didn't expect it was going to last as long as my original. I think my first one came from China and I installed my second one today and it is from Mexico. It's bright, it works, it was cheap... my requirements have been met!
