THEY ROCK!!!
Before purchasing 4 of these as replacements in my two old Sunn cabs, I looked at many other 12" speakers, checked out the specs and read Reviews for each and found it hard to believe that for the low price that these RVP12W8's could not only match the frequency response, but exceed in wattage as well. What materials could they be made of that can make the price so low? Well, the only difference I see is the metal frame..basket as it's called.... yes it's slightly a thinner gauge then frames of the more expensive manufacturers, but all other materials are the same as the more expensive. These have a large voice coil with a ported 40oz magnet, 350 watts RMS, 600 watt program and 1200 watts of peak Power. Not to insult any readers, but for those who don't understand RMS, that's continously running 350 watts without the voice coil overheating. So, after install of these four 12's I tested them, cranked up some Boston from first album and after listening to about 300watts, I cranked it on up to 600watts to check out the levels of sound, checking for distortions, clipping...etc. Oh wow, these are the real deal!!! I'm not driving them up to their peak, but I belive they could handle the 1200 watts easily for a brief moment... maybe one day I'll do that a few seconds, but for now I'm very satisfied! Only one con I should state here and it's really not that big of a deal, as I mentioned before, the baskets are of a thinner gauge than more expensive speakers and one of mine came shipped to me a little bent on the edge, was probably dropped during shipping, was easy enough to straighten out during mounting in the cabinet and does not effect the sound at all. I highly recommend these rockville RVP12W8's for anyone like myself that has a tight budget, you won't be disappointed.

very good for Open Baffle speaker design
Very pleased with this 12" woofer. Using in an Open Baffle prototype design: High Q's, Sensitivity, and Qmass. The only detration was that it arrived slitely bent. It wasn't enough to affect the operation, but it is disappointing.

Awesome.
Thank you Rockville for saving me money on a kick ass speaker for my PA. Replaced a blown peavey. Screw holes didn't match up but some self tapping screws remedied that. Just remember it's plastic... don't strip the screws. As good as, if not better than the original. Definitely worth the price.

Perfect fit for Peavey 112DLM monitor
The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with the product quality. I rebuilt the cabinet in the video for a customer with new tweeter diaphragm and this Rockville woofer. The outside and inside diameters are an exact match to the original Eminence and/or Peavey full-range woofer, and the power rating, impedance and frequency response match as well. I am impressed with the pricing for this product in comparison to the original replacement. I hid the red and white logo with black gaff tape per the customer’s request, but it is the Rockville woofer installed using the original screws with t-nuts in the original holes. I didn’t need to sand or rout the cutout; simply cut the terminal connectors, strip and attach the wires, and install the new woofer. Highly recommend.

Great for the price
I have bought a 10" 12" and 15" on this sub. All of them have had great bass and perform well. For the money I do not believe there is a better performing sub.
