Good things.. Wireless so can be used with a rotisserie, pretty accurate, battery hasn't died on me yet. Bad things... Range is terrible, more than 5 metres away and it struggles. Once the connection is broken it is really tricky to get back. You're best to connect to a device like a tablet right next to the bbq and leave it there so you're not carrying it about with you like your phone.I picked this up when it was £35 and that's a fair price for it. Current price of £70 is ridiculous.

The meat mate bbq thermometer is a great piece of kit.Was a little worried at the start given it had no feedback but hey, you can always return it and at the price it was just too good of a find to not take the risk.What a great risk to take. It has quickly become my new favourite kitchen essential.Out the box it's so simple to use. Instructions don't go in to much detail to begin with but once you open the app it's pretty intuitive.Select the meat and how well you want it and sit back and relax.I only have the one probe but you can add up to 4 and measure the temps seperatly so I think il be adding a second so we can have 2 steaks going at once.Only tried on the BBQ so far but can't wait to pit up against our smoker and test it in our oven once the weather starts getting colder.The range didn't dissapoint. It says it has a 30m range and I can't really remember moving out of this range too many times but I never once realised the connection dropping so that's a real plus.Overall I'm so happy with the purchase and can't wait to try different meats.

Only used once so far but cooked roast beef set to medium rare and came out perfect. Range when in oven not great , maybe 10 ft but you can just reconnect if you go further and come back in range. App is easy enough to use.
