It works ok. When covid is over, I'm back tpo getting my hair cut.

Was skeptical when I bought it but it works perfectly

I have been cutting my own hair for over 10 years now, and I've gotten pretty good at giving myself a good line on the nape of my neck. My capacities through contorting myself always gave me a straight line, and a fairly decent finish. I sort of ordered this product on a lark, because I didn't really think it was something that was going to work, or that it was something that I really needed. I decided, what's the harm in trying it, and ordered it anyways. I have to say, the first time that I tried it, I was a little nervous because in some cases I couldn't really see what I was doing and had to take on blind faith that I was making myself a pretty decent line. Well the results were quite incredible. Whereas before contorting myself to make a line on the back of my neck would result in something more straight lined like Legoish, now with this contraption I'm able to do a nice curved line that makes it look more finished, as though it was done by a barber. Honestly, I was super impressed with it, and now I find it's something that I'm very happy to have as someone who cuts his own hair. It gives the finish from the back a much more manicured look. I didn't think I'd like this thing, but now I love it. I would recommend it.

I have had this device for more than a month just so I can try to get it to work. I cut my hair every weekend and keep it tight and close. For the most part I have my hair 1/8" long. I like the neckline straight.I can cut my hair by myself and get a mostly straight line using a mirror. It's not easy and it's often a mess. I though this would be the answer but it's not. Not for me.My initial attempts I had some help. It takes a while to find the right angle and the right way to hold the strap and where it will go, etc. I tried initially with no help and was way off. I had someone position the line for me and had the strap over my nose and under my ears. The resulting line that this produced was something like a curve and not a straight line. It was a straight curve but still a curve. Perhaps if I didn't have such short hair it wouldn't be as curved.Four weeks and four attempts at using this. Even with someone else doing the cutting and using this as a guide I wasn't really happy with the results.I can't recommend this. I like the concept and think the company is probably awesome but this is just a useless strap to me.

I've been cutting my hear for years, and I've been holding a thick USB Cord in my teeth as a guide to cut the back of my hair. This is a superior solution that achieves a similar result. What makes this better, is the fact that this has a built-in strap, and it allows me to lower the trim-line about a half an inch. Overall, I'm happy with the results. I'll post a picture of the results I got, and the silly work-around this replaced. Another benefit of this (over the "cord-in-teeth" hack), is that this is wide enough that I never accidently place the trimmer above the cord (instead of below it). With the cord, sometimes I'd go to reposition my trimmer, and I'd set it down above the cord. Both methods work, but the Nekmate is more "idiot proof" when I'm in a hurry.
