Syncra SDC 3.0 Water Pump 260-800 gph WIFI Apex Controllable Aquarium DC Return with Controller | Quiet Freshwater Saltwater Fish Tank Sump Pond

I've had a saltwater aquarium for over 20 years, I've been through a lot of different products, had many different tanks, suffice to say I've tried my fair share of equipment over the years. This pump is simply amazing; bordering on silent (it's plumbed internally in my sump, to be fair I only run it at about 30% power on my 80 gallon reef), and the connectivity and controls are amazing. The wireless hookup was quick and painless, and I have had zero issues since I set it up. I did read one complaint about the temperature not showing for someone, but I have not had this issue. It doesn't show at first, but make sure to set up the profile and its always there, and so far has been very accurate. My only complaint (which really isn't a big deal) is that I dont believe you can switch the setting from Celsius to Fahrenheit. I couldn't be happier with this, not to mention the 5 year warranty which is ridiculously good in this hobby. I'm so happy with this return pump I decided to purchase the SDC xstream powerbeads as well, hopefully they're as good as this is. If I have any issues with the pump in the future I'll make sure to update this review, so if I dont, you can bet it's still meeting/exceeding expectations.

Sorry if I come off as a bit of a Sicce fan boy but they’ve delivered another great product. This pump is quiet, powerful and completely controllable. Best of all it’s built on a proven platform with readily available replacement parts. Every Reefer knows that our tanks take their toll on our gear. Even with maintenance and a quality product, parts will wear. Take a look at the parts store, you can basically rebuild it. Plus, the warranty is stellar! Speaking of parts, everything you need to hook up to your plumbing is in the box(looking at you Ecotech). I’m a fan of the app and it’ll work with Apex should you go that route. If not, the included controller is pretty slick! It also has presets to be used in a closed loop. I really am loving this pump!

I bought this pump and installed it on my Red Sea Reefer G2+ 250. The pump itself is absolutely silent and perfect. The problem is the WiFi app and the supplied attachments. The WiFi adapter leavess the pump off if there is a loss of power, and then a return of power, and Sicce has known about this problem for years, but claim it's related to something else even after numerous reports of this happening. In addition, the supplied adapters do not fit any standard size hoses or piping. You have to jump through multiple hoops to get the pump attached to your system unless you are already using Sicce pumps and have hoses or pipe adapters that fit.

Great pump. Responsive app. Never crashed. Have had this one and a 6.0 with no issues. I say it is louder than expected, but mostly because I have a dozen sicce syncra silent pumps and they are virtually silent. I expected this pump to be silent but it has a slight sound that can only be heard if everything else is off. Meaning, the sound is really insignificant because there are lots of other things in a reef tank that will cause noise pollution before you have to worry about this. Just buy it! Oh, confession...haven't cleaned any of my pumps.. I just ramp them up and give a good shake in the water and the biofilm flakes shoot out. It works.

I purchased this return pump because I liked the fact that I could control the pump from anywhere using the phone app. I debated on whether to spend the money for it but I’ve owned several smaller sicce pumps and they have always exceeded my expectations and were by far the best quality pumps. I had a couple of issues where my tank had overflowed and my fear was that I could have this issue when I wasn’t home to correct the issue. I recently purchased a Ring alarm system and it came with a Flood Freeze sensor which I thought was pretty cool but would not have purchased it had it not came with the system, boy I’m glad that it did. My tank lost the prime to my overflow so it all the water was being pump into the tank and it started to overflow, the ring flood sensor sent me a message and I was able to go to my ContrAll app and shut the pump off even though I was at least 2 hours away from home. I still had some water to deal with but it was not nearly as bad as it could’ve been had I not been able to contthe pump remotely. I have had nothing but great service from Sicce and would not purchase any other brand. They are truly the standard of the industry

This is an excellent pump. I use it on a redsea 425 G2. Love the controls and the added benefit of having a temperature sensor inside the pump helps keep an eye on stable temps. Also if the probes fail I always have a backup to refer to. When running at full throttle it is a little loud but not a big deal. Easy maintenance and the warranty period is great. I've used success products for a long time and I highly recommend it.

The pump has wifi capability that can be controlled from anywhere in the world. Also sends and monitors the temperature of the water with notifications sent directly to your cell or email or both!! The pump is very quiet and setting up wifi was easy. As it required 3G band I suggest you turn off the 5G while initially setting it up. Once connected and tested turn on the 5G. This worked great for me as I noticed in the comments that some people were having connectivity issues.

These things are, LOUD! I have a couple eight-year-old sicce pumps that are damn near silent. These mofos are so loud I can hear them clearly from my basement. Update 9/29/2025: Literally three days after the return window closed with Amazon, one of the controllers burned up with blue magical smoke. These are the worst pieces of crap ever.

Beautiful pump but sadly it doesn't come close to it's rated flow. Maybe as a stream pump it might come close but not as a return pump.
