I confess I've never understood the appeal of this product, which suggests nothing to me that's associated with the candy "licorice" or the flavor "strawberry." But I was attracted by the carousel container and the undeniable value of this much "time-Killing" candy. It arrived the day after my order in a package secure enough to hold a small computer or a mirror (so often Amazon packages are torn, bent, partially crushed. The Red Vines people obviously treated their product with care and respect. Moreover, the fetching fragrance hit me even before I'd removed the shiny blue cover.Getting to the heart of the matter, I've never tasted Red Vines as fresh and satisfying as this batch, which must have come from the candy vats minutes after my order. The texture is soft and palate-pleasing, not a hard and tough, dried-out section in the entire batch. So what does it taste like? The flavor is red--take it from there. I guess it has a somewhat artificial flavor, like red Kool-aid, or the flavors used to disguise medicinal liquids. If so, the flavors have never performed as enticingly as these seductive sticks.I'll remain a fan of Twizzler's Peel-n-Pull Cherry Candy, but for a lighter and less-addictive treat, Red Vines have never made a stronger case. And this value price makes it all the easier to succumb to their mysterious allure.

Okay, confession time: I have a serious weakness for Red Vines. Like, a serious weakness. This giant jar is both a blessing and a curse because I just can't seem to stop reaching for them! The classic red flavor is so nostalgic and satisfying – that perfect chewy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. I love that they come in this big resealable jar too, because let's be real, these things don't last long in my house. It's perfect for movie nights, road trips, or just, you know, whenever the craving hits. And the fact that they're fat-free and low sodium? Well, that just makes it easier to justify polishing off half the jar in one sitting, right? Don't judge me! If you're a Red Vines fan, you know what I'm talking about. Five stars – and maybe I should order another jar now...before this one disappears!

I have been craving this licorice for over a month it's been for ever having this licorice wayyyyyy better then twizzlers . stores don't carry anymore so it's hard to find glad it was here on Amazon. So happy for it to finally arrive and it tastes just like I remembered absolutely delicious so fresh and yummy.

Way better than twizzlers.

This comes right from the factory and when it arrives fresh, it's delicious like they made it that morning. I have gotten a lot of stale licorice from them and once a crushed carton that opened the lid on one tub making the Red Vines so hard they were like sharp rocks. Not kidding, when I tried breaking them up I thought I might cut my hand. Leave one Red Vine out for a while as an experiment and after a while you have petrified licorice.So definitely recommend but be aware sometimes it's like they drove it over from the candy factory and other times like it shipped around the world. I hope you get the good stuff 🙂
