Oral-b i06 is fantastic
This is my sixth electric toothbrush and I have always gone for the cheaper range and found that the batteries don’t last long , I opted for this model (i06) which should have been £300 but in the sale was £109 so was a great bargain. I can say that this is the best toothbrush I have ever used , it has multiple modes , easy to hold and gives a fantastic clean . My only criticism would be the cost of replacement heads , but when you consider they last for approx 2/3 months each that works out about £15 for 6 months of cleaning which isn’t to bad . Definitely recommended.

Good cleaning performance
Some months back, we bought an Io6 and an Io8 at the same time. The Io8 had to replaced immediately because of battery failure and its replacement has already failed again. The Io6 which is the subject of this review is to replace the failed Io8.Strongly recommend the Io6.

Avoid! Brush will stop working as intended at some point with no fix available.
For several months, this toothbrush performed as promised until the battery indication began to fail. When I would fully charge it, it would sporadically shut off when brushing the following morning.I had hoped that this was an isolated incident and that I had just been unlucky. Sadly, that wasn't the case, as the same design defect has led to three replacements in less than two years.I know from experience that this model is something you should avoid. Still, this might be a problem with more than one model.Edit (27/4/25) - I received a fourth replacement, iO7 this time around. It worked fine for 6 months before the same issue reaped it's head. It's very clear at this point that this is a known firmware defect across all variations of the iO series which is well documented online dating back a number of years ago. Do yourself a favour, buy a different brand of electric toothbrush.

Worth Every Penny!
I’ve been using this toothbrush for about 6 weeks now and the improvement it’s made when it comes to whiteness, how my teeth feel and just general mouth hygiene have been worth every penny. I went from a smart pro to io series 6 and would highly recommend it. The app made me realise how much of my teeth I had been missing all this time, the sensor made me realise that I wasn’t applying enough pressure and the handy timer on the handle showed me that what I thought was 2mins definitely wasn’t.

Had this for 23 months. 6 months a go I noticed the charge kept dropping of very quick. Now I charge it too 100% during the day, brush my teeth for the full 2 minutes, check battery level 90+%, next morning brush my teeth and after 1 minute it dies... zero left in the battery.I have just submitted a warranty claim to Oral B because I have 1 month of warranty left.** I submitted a warranty claim with Braun. I sent my IO6 back and within the week I had a new IO6 returned to me. Not repaired or refurbished, a brand new item.To recap, the IO6 may have potential battery issues as long as you are in the 2 year warranty get it sorted. The IO6 without the issue is a decent brush with plenty of functions, I don't use the Bluetooth feature. **

Ok it's expensive tooth brush I like it as the timer in the handle so you know how long you been brushing various choices of intensity of cleaning All excellent.Do print out your email when you registered guarantee and proof of purchase Tried to claim on my old one and wastoldthey keep no records I was 10 days over the three years and did not get much help as I did not have copy of email Otherwise if you are serious about oral care this is the tooth brush to enjoy using

Expensive but impressive cleaning action
I thought long and hard before spending just over £100 on a toothbrush and a further £25 on replacement heads. The heads for other toothbrushes in the OralB range don’t fit this model. I’ve had no dental check up for over two years as my dentist is only taking emergency appointments and I’m keen to do my best to prevent dental problems.I’ve used electric toothbrushes for some years and was disappointed that my last OralB purchase only lasted a couple of years before it stopped holding charge. This model is more expensive and claims to clean better. I was sceptical, but having bought and used it for about a month, it’s amazing. The cleaning action is different and the brush bristles seem to reach between the teeth better than my old brush. This has a range of settings from a deep powerful clean to a gentle clean and after trying the most powerful for a couple of days, I’ve settled on the regular setting for dai,y use.There are flashing lights, which are entertaining but unnecessary. There’s also an App which links to usage, but I haven’t set that up. It’s the cleaning action that I’m interested in and I have to say this is the best toothbrush I’ve ever used. The extra cost will be well worth it if it saves dentist expenses and I’m very happy to recommend this brush.

Great product
We have seen a huge difference between this and our previous much older oral B tooth brush and you can a very good clean after a minute and an even better one after the 2 minutes they recommend. The battery life is also excellent and remained upto 50% after a 4 day trip away without the charger
