Update.
Update: It is now November 2023, and both bulbs in both zappers are dead. So 4 dead bulbs in 5 months or less. And they have been stationary the entire time. Thats kinda a let down.June 2023These pack a punch on the insects. We live in lower DE which is known for an abundance of flys and mosquitos. We actually have these in the house. They are small but effective. Not big and bulky.

Powerful and worth it
These bug zappers are about 10 in Long by 7 in tall by approximately 3 in wide they have plenty of protection on them to keep I would say most children or animals out for the most part. They are very powerful if a bug goes in it does not come out. In my opinion these are amazing.

Hanging unit
The media could not be loaded. Well I just received it haven’t zapped anything yet but the only suggestion I have well actually two one a longer cord I have two other zappers both from different companies but both have long cords which gives you much better location placement second the hardware for hanging the unit they give you a chain that have eye clamps but nowhere to attach them to the unit you have one the unit itself lock-in slots which means that you would have to get a screw with the right size head and fix the unit on it and with that in mind opinion the unit would be too close to the wall meaning that now the bugs only have one entry point but the unit works well I like it

So far so good after a few weeks - killer product.
I used the larger metal-case bug zappers but after years as they failed gradually, I switched to these smaller Hodiax Tap-n-Zap plastic units. They are much more inconspicuous and so far the tray has been full of insect casualties every week or so when I check. They are especially lethal for the annoying moths I share my old house with. I hope I don't get a dose of bad karma for zapping them but they gotta go...I like the design of these much more than the old large ones I had. I always seemed to shock myself when fiddling with my old ones. These have a cool-looking high-impact plastic case that is almost impossible to accidentally stick a finger in. These are an actual purchase, not compensated for these comments.

Returned these bug zappers!
When I unpacked these 2 zappers, one of them the top light did not work. The one I put downstairs continuously “zapped” and the right side of the top bulb sparked a few times with loud sound. I believe this was not working properly and could possibly have a “short” and cause a serious issue. The bug tray would not pull out, and there was a long cord attached that moved something up and down on one side of the inside..for what? No instructions included, no phone number to call and NO response received back on an email to customer service.

Works great
This zapper works great. I like the clean out tray the best, it just slides right out and isn't a big hassle to get all the dead bugs out.

It might work better as a night light If using for small knats
I'm not even sure if it is actually working correctly as im wanting it for knats them little pesky buggers but I only have a few small amount of them but thought I would hear a zap from time to time but nothing exept for a type nice looking square night lite.Well I hope it works and most fail cause my nat little flyers well actually crawl around on my kitchen sink and then won't go in the those zapper. They get smart wise to the zapper lol.It sure does seem that way.....Update yes it hasn't been working. It just turned out to be a type square looking type night light and heck with them type like florescent in it. does that mean it actually cost more to run? I have been leaving it on in hopes that it did work Heck im not going to put my finger in it yet a little tiny bit of water splash up in it but didn't hear anything of a type shock going on inside. It was like only $24 and I just didn't bother with a return and just thought it can work as a type light but now I'm thinking the florescent might actually cost more to run possibly?well it is what it is

I can retire the fly swatters now!
I was worried because this is a plastic-housed consumer version of the zapper you see in large warehouses and commercial buildings, and I was not sure if it would do the work it was intended for. The idea is simple. They like this certain blue light and must fly through an electric grid that kills them. I wondered if I should take the risk. After a fly infestation that hit the entire area (just blankets of flies outside, and they would fly into the house if a door was opened!) I decided to take the risk. I took it out of the package and right away, a fly flew into it with a big fat "Zap." All night long I heard about five "Zaps." I am pretty sure my days of chasing flies with a fly swatter are over.
