purchased for our pool. Easy to install & very quiet. very happy!

CAUTION!! Had to get refund through my bank this company is dishonest. It was lost for 3 weeks we had to track it down to get it ourselves. We got it had to pay hvac 300.00 to come out and he hooked up gas line and there was a leak so he stopped it was not fully hooked up as they are trying to say. we packed it up to send back. I contacted seller as he assured me since it was lost he would work with me on returns. And it was approved to send back .I had to call a # to have themPick up item as it’s a freight item! when I spoke to the lady Ebony she said they didn’t want it back as it’s defective.. umm ok and how is that my fault? They offer warranty but fail to tell you to see if it’s available in your area it’s 150 miles away from us so we aren’t eligible for that. They wanted to send parts if they had them in stock. I am not capable of fixing this on my own have no clue of what parts are needed to do so. and cannot afford to have hvac back out to fix it as it will cost 600.00 dollars to fix. All I wanted was a paid return label to send back this defective item that I received. They have been a hassle to deal with I would rate 0/10 this item is very expensive and should be absolutely no problem with return due to their defective item! I would strongly suggest against buying from this seller.. I have used Amazon for years and have never had an issue like this!

Recent purchase. Hesitant purchase based on other reviews. Very happy with product. Heats 18 foot round above ground beautifully, approximately 2 degrees per hour. I live in a cool climate state. The weather isn't great today but the pool is toasty. It very quiet. I read reviews saying they are noisy but my isn't. The display is well protected and very simple. Shows me the temp I have it set at and the current temp of the pool. My in-pool thermometer and the temp shown on heater match perfectly. Easy to install. I hired a plumber to run and install a gas line but I did the hook up to the pool to save a couple of bucks. Glad I listen to my local pool guy who recommended this brand.

I purchased this Raypack propane pool heater because it was the same model as my old one, and I was able to install it with minimum effort. I installed it myself in less tha one hour even though I heard that Raypak will not honor their warranty unless you use one of their licensed installers.I had the last one installed by a licensed dealer. They caught it on fire during installation. It never worked well and kept refusing to light. The dealer sent repairmen out multiple times for the next four summers. By the fifth summer, they could not get it to stay lit. They decided that the heater had been burning wrong since the beginning and heat exchanger was now clogged with carbon. Their solution was to sell me a new heater.I took it apart, cleaned the heat exchanger and it worked fine. Unfortunately, it developed a water leak one year later. I ordered this replacement, installed it myself and it works like a charm. I will never let that licensed Raypak dealer near it.

So far I have not been able to use heater Raypak does not have anyone in the area so my pool guy have installed a new regulator with still no luck getting it fired up Raypak is now sending a new computer board if this doz Work I requested a new heater buyers beware check your location to see if someone services these heaters

We hired a pool guy to help with the propane gas installation. Went smoothly. Simple controls. Easy to use. Takes about 2 hours to heat our built in hot tub. That’s my only disappointment. The price for my budget. Higher btu heaters were MUCH more expensive. So I just plan a little more in advance when I want to use it!

The media could not be loaded.  It took all of two month from receipt of the product and less than 1 month of use to fail. Noticed this morning that water was streaming out of the enclosure. Pulled the top of and found multiple leaks in the coil. Return window is only 30 days (it took me that long to get it installed), so we are now fighting the warranty process. I will never buy anything from either company again.

I only gave 4 stars because we just got it installed and don't have a good idea yet of how much propane we'll use but it works wonderfully and the pool feels great!
