Update as of Jan 20, 2023: I am raising my rating to 5 stars after exchanging several emails with the seller located in the United Kingdom. The seller had not realized the extent of the number of coins with this typo until reading my review. As a reminder, the “J” above the image of the Scales of Justice had a capital “I” rather than a capital “J”. The seller on his own initiative has decided to recall all coins being sold by Amazon and will inspect each coin for whether it has this error. He will then resupply Amazon with only those coins without the imperfection. Before posting this update, I waited to see the first action to stop selling all coins on Amazon by posting that the coin is “Currently unavailable”. Based on this initial action and his stated plans mentioned above, I am confident that the seller will resupply Amazon with only coins that do not contain the typo error. My reason for raising my rating to 5 stars is simply that I had originally viewed this coin as beautifully designed and manufactured, except for the mentioned error. Now that the error has been corrected, I would consider it a “perfect” reminder of the four cardinal virtues of Stoicism, i.e., Wisdom, Courage, Justice and Temperance.The following is my original review with a posting date of January 16. 2023 giving the coin one star: I must return the medallion coin. I would be violating the “Justice” virtue if I didn’t return the medallion. Why? Good question! The one I received contained a typo: The “J” above the image of the Scales of Justice shows a capital “I” not a Capital “J”. So, you might be thinking not such a big deal, you need to have 20/20 vision to even notice the error. And you probably would be correct. However, the images posted by the seller on the Amazon site do not show this error. In addition, at least one other reviewer mentioned this error. I have noticed when other reviewers mention a mistake of this kind; the seller usually fixes the problem. So, I decided to order the medallion coin thinking this problem has already been fixed. When I received the coin, it had the same error. So, to be fair to the seller, I decided to ask for a replacement coin.Unfortunately, the replacement coin contained the same error. Therefore, I will be returning both coins because rather than remind me of the four stoic virtues it will remind me that I violated the justice virtue by not returning them and not posting this review. If the seller stops selling the defective coins containing this error, I would be extremely satisfied to own this very superbly designed and manufactured coin showing the four stoic virtues.

I was introduced to the Stoic philosophy a couple of years ago by a business associate and it has really transformed my life. In addition to my daily reading and journaling I was looking for something to constantly remind me of how I want my mind to focus on the moment to keep me from living in the past or worrying about the future. This coin has done just that! The first day I had it in my pocket someone commented on what a cool coin it was, which allowed me to share and introduce them to the philosophy. This coin is high quality, eye-catching and a perfect way to remind me of what I need to focus on daily.

The coin has clear details and a weight that feels substantial in your hand. There were no imperfections. A good meditative tool and reminder of virtues to aspire to.
