A Few Years After Reading This And I've Changed My Review
Today is Sunday, January 5, 2020. It's been a few years since I wrote my initial review below and all of the "Pros" I've shared below still hold true, but I am changing my 3 Star Review to A 5 Plus Star Review. And, yes, I still hold all of my personal truths as listed below, especially that I am here first and foremost to be, to just BE. Being! Lessons and all the other stuff of life are still secondary to me.What has changed? Honestly, I really don't know except that I keep coming back to this book and to William's teachings over and over again. He and his work just make sense to me.I've had a great many spiritual experiences in my life, spontaneous OBEs and more. I've read and listened to other OBE experts and while they have been helpful, William's teachings are the ones that resonate with my inner depths. I can't explain it any better than that.As well, and maybe even most importantly, William's teaching of "don't just take his or anyone else's word for it and experience it yourself" really changed my life. His claiming that we are immortal and not to be fooled by any limiting teaching, precepts, etc. have changed the course of my life from the inside out. I lived for a very long time by such limiting beliefs and if it weren't for the spontaneous OBEs I've had I would not have believed him. And I mean I've been flipping ejected a few times. Guess my Higher Self said, "NOW ... that's enough ... here's YOUR TRUTH.".I hope others will read this review and the one below because I know that as we evolve within ourselves something that may not have resonated with us initially might do so later on.Mr. and Mrs. Buhlman, I remain in very deep gratitude. Your works have been a blessing to me and to others with whom I share them. AND... I always add now, as William says: "Don't take my word for it. Try it out for yourself."Thank you and love to all!My Initial Three Star Review from a Few Years Ago:Initial Review Headline:William Buhlman is an excellent writer and I have learned very much from his experiences, books, videos and courses over the years, but this book has been particularly difficult for me.There are many gems in this book. The first few chapters I found to be very enlightening and informative. As well, Susan Buhlman's section of the book really, truly helped me with helping a family member as they were dying.Sooo, why the three stars? Well, as I was reading the first part of the book, I began to feel like I was being strangled. Literally strangled. I would read how we had to let go of the conditioning of what we were forced to believe in when we first came into this physical reality and then William Buhlman seemed to add aspects of other spiritual beliefs, conditionings;, etc. (i.e., Buddhism, Shamanism, etc.), along with what he has learned from his own OBE travels. NOW, there are aspects of Buddhism, Shamanism, as well as other spiritual beliefs that resonate for me, and then there are aspects of these spiritual paths that do not.As I continued reading this book, I couldn't help but wonder if Mr. Buhlman's military past life came into play. What I mean is that his suggestions for me began to feel like I was back in my religion of birth having to follow another strict set of rules in order to get to the highest spiritual potential available to me. If I didn't, woe would be me. DANG!!!I have worked very hard, and as best as I can, for very many years to come to a place within myself that realized, yes, I am a spiritual being first and foremost, but that I am also in a human body and can only do the best that I can. I will never be perfect, and, I'm sorry, but for me, this book felt like the & the command to be as perfect as you possibly can OR ELSE!!!Now, maybe that works for others, but it doesn't for me. I do try my best already to follow many of the things William Buhlman suggests in this book. Yet, still I fail. Yeah, I get up, but I still fail at times. And some days are better than others, but I certainly cannot walk around in my life living up to the perfection of yet another spiritual path.I also personally believe that I came into physical reality to experience a human life and all it entails and with the inner mantra of: Do no intentional harm to the earth and it's inhabitants and oneself. I don't believe I came here specifically for lessons and learning to grow, etc. In my opinion, those are secondary. In any case, I would still recommend this book to others because it is very well written, informative, helpful, and, hey, everyone has their own particular beliefs... and, I could be incorrect.Peace!

because it is the brilliant encyclopedic treatise of personal development
Rise your vibrations! “Higher Self Now: Accelerating Your Spiritual Evolution” by William Buhlman the author of the first part of the book, and Susan Buhlman, the author of the second part of the book, is the must-have book by everyone who wants to develop and improve himself, because it is the brilliant encyclopedic treatise of personal development. William Buhlman’s enviable mind discipline created perfect classification of various states of human mind resulting in self-induced OBE. It allows the author to embrace incredible amount of material – everything important in achieving developers’ ultimate goal – self-induced OBEs that may pave the way to enlightenment! The author digs deep to the roots of barriers and other obstacles that every seeker of development will face sooner or later. The name of it is our denial and immense resistance of dealing with our attachments to material world, habits, stereotypes, beliefs, completely wrong assessments of our personalities, illiterate “it is not your fault” songs that we hear on daily bases! Without letting go these attachments there would not be any progress on the road of the personal growth.I know what I am talking about. Today, at age over 80, looking back at myself 60 years ago, I cringe! Everybody around was guilty, but me! But I know also what it takes to start seeing clearly who you really are. In the book “The Higher Self Now,” Buhlman spelled out the harsh truth that development starts with concentration on letting go the attachments. So long as it was suggested by Indian yogis, Chinese, Japan, and Tibetan wise men politely, quietly, with full understanding that it would be harsh for us to accept it, we hoped to avoid it finding a quick and easy way out! Now it was said not by an exotic guru, but by one of us! The Buhlman’s dry encyclopedic tone contains the power to convince to give it a try, because the practice of “letting go negativity” becomes a “be, or not to be” thing for people who peruse who they really are.William Buhlman offers an interesting “The 21 Day Transformation Challenge” for an assessment where you stand on your path of personal development. Once, signing up for a Buhlman’s Intensive OBE 6-day training course, I received in mail the instructions, how to prepare for this OBE inducing program. The instruction included the similar assessment challenge. It helped me immensely to reach the goal during given six days and have some OBEs. Every single one of them was pointing at my most complex and less realized attachment issues.Needless to say, that in this book you will learn everything unusual that you may come across inducing your OBE experiences. More: this book will reveal you both the vastness of the other side, and the seriousness of the development path. And again – the chosen style of saying allowed the author to say a lot on limited number of pages. Despite this compression, or thank to it, corresponding chapters help to understand how serious are problems that spirits speak from afterlife in many books of other authors. Buhlman offers ways how to handle these problems. For instance, how to handle one of the most painful issues that a newbie soul may face arriving to the other side – the discovery that it cannot fly because any kind of “walls” came into existence around them soon after transition. Buhlman suggests to concentrate on loving approach to the problem no matter how hateful or irritating it is. Every medium and serious healer have heard from spirits about these limiting “walls”, or “sealing” or “bridges” over spirits’ heads, and they may seem be strong as concrete, or stones, or metal plates. One may think, what the tender love vibrations can do to such strong obstacles. But they do, and this is the very point that has to be understood, more – believed to be possible! The love vibes have to be taken into the arsenal of the personal growth. But how to produce these loving thoughts in the separation from the loved ones and familiar environment? The answer is astoundingly simple: rise your vibrations! As the author puts it, “the state of my consciousness is my energy frequency” and rising vibrations can change everything in you and around you! Such suggestion has to become your guiding star during your journey toward liberation. Only frequencies of your vibrations count, everything else does not matter! The second part of this book is written by Susan Buhlman, a certified doula with remarkable personal experience assisting the people in their transition from earth plane to subtle dimensions of our existence. I found her observations how to communicate with dying people and how to help them to be most kind, tactful and intelligent. She offers special prayers and rituals to those who stay on earth in grief – I found them very impressive. I believe, Susan Buhlman’s word of wisdom about communication with people waiting departing, will give also a reason to have this book handy, if someone in family is nearing the end of his or her life journey on earth.

Recommended Reading For Those Who Want to Know and Rejoin Their Higher Self !
William Buhlman does a fantastic piece of work in this book! I love his practical exercises that the layman can use to become fully aware of his/her Higher Self, while still incarnated inside a human body (our vehicle for consciousness). He takes the reader through simple, easy to follow steps to increase their conscious awareness in this 3D realm so that, when we transition from our physical state into one of the many infinite astral dimensions, we can learn to resist all the flashy, illusory distractions of form which we will likely encounter while passing through the Astral Realms during our final transition. This is another reason why Souls get stuck in a low density reincarnation cycle.William explains in chapter 8, for example, about how to achieve 'Escape Velocity' so we can catapult ourselves into really high vibrational states and into dimensions where we can more readily evolve our consciousness even further. There's much to learn from this well written guide written by William Buhlman. The second part of the book, written by Susan Buhlman, describes many helpful ways to make the final transition as conducive to achieving your highest potential as a spiritual being, as easy and comfortable as possible. She has many great suggestions how to help prepare yourself and others for transition to their Higher Self. This book is a good read, and, if you're open to change, it will raise your level of consciousness!
