GOLDTOE Women's Casual Sock

I bought these socks in black and they have a dye odor that is so strong. I like to wash clothes before wearing, and after the first wash the smell was worse than before they were washed. I washed them several times, even adding vinegar to the water. I finally resorted to washing them in a product designed for removing odors in sewage, and that helped, but added an additional eucalyptis smell. Now the odor is fainter, but the socks are faded and look like they have been washed too many times. The color is more faded where the socks are creased on the front and back. I would have returned these socks except I am taking a trip and my boots that rub a blister above my ankle if I don't have on thick socks that protect my leg. These are good for that purpose.

I have some ankle boots with a cutout pattern. I think the boots are really cute, but I can't wear them without socks (tried, and I have a scar on my ankle now as a result). So I went looking for socks in colors that matched some of my clothes. (I've previously reviewed some different Gold Toe socks in warmer colors that I bought for the same purpose.) Although these say they're cuff socks, I don't turn them down. (I generally wear long pants and so, while they do extend above the top of my boots, you can't see that part.) They stay up on my calves pretty well, and do so without leaving any marks/indentations/impressions in the skin. They're soft and warm and I've found I can wear them with some of my flats, so I'm not just limited to wearing them with boots. I think they're well-made; I didn't notice any loose strings and they've survived a couple of trips through the washing machine (normal cycle with cold water and tumble dry on low). I threw them in with a bunch of other colors and the dye didn't bleed out. So, all-in-all, I'm quite happy with these. I'd definitely buy Gold Toe socks again in the future, though I just bought 12 pairs between these and the warm-colored ones, so I probably won't need to for awhile.

Love these socks! I wear docs (mainly boots) most of the year and have tried several kinds of socks in hopes of finding the perfect fit and here they are! They keep my feet warm which I was not expecting, in the non-insulated boots while looking super cute and keeping my feet comfortable! These are unlike other socks that are so bulky that my feet are sore after wearing them, these are thin leaving lots of room. They are also tall enough to leave an inch or two peaking out of my docs while fitting my plus size calves! I don’t usually have a problem with toe holes but the added reinforcement in the toes makes me feel good about my purchase and having these socks for a long time! Bottom line, if you’re thinking about these socks and/or are looking for a good boot sock these are a must!

I love these socks. Durable, comfortable, well priced, excellent buy. I have found that they are perfect for almost any occasion. I am 72 and have arthritis in my body. My hands and feet especially. I find these socks easy to put on and are comfortable on my feet. Get them for your whole family. They are excellent socks.

Makes your feet sweat. Cotton is better.
