The aquarium looks great, but I had to purchase a heater, and air pump, cause at 2.5 gallons of water, the water was too cold. I had to get an air pump cause the water would get cloudy.

Wish I could say this worked better, the idea behind it is great but when you pour fresh water in it does not create enough of a force to push the yucky stuff from the bottom out, you end up overflowing the tank.

Don't do it
Don't waste $$$ or time. More work than 20 gallon tank. DISAPPOINTED BIG TIME. Directions followed to the letter.

Dot not clean bottom well
This does not work very well. It's OK for partial water changes, but it doesn't clean the bottom well. It has to be totally cleaned by hand about once a month. This defeats the purpose. Very expensive for something that doesn't work well.

Great Bowl
My betta loves his home. Easy to clean and very appealing to the eyes. Would repurchase this again. Great price

I love the 2 gallon aquarium! I had the .5,gallon and got this one to replace it. I pour in 1/2 a gallon one time then in four days a gallon. I have not have any problems with cloudiness. I did spend a long time washing the rocks as they had a lot of dirt on them. My Beta Finley seems to like it! So much easier than the traditional bowl cleaning!

Nice bowl but does NOT self clean.
I got mine through their kickstarter this past December - my review is based on 3 months of use. The bowl is nice but the self cleaning is a joke. As soon as I pour the water in, any leftover food as well as fish poop starts to swirl up and very little if any is removed. Absolutely nothing like what the video shows. We've tried fewer rocks over the grate, pouring slower, pouring quicker...you get the idea. The bowl itself is nice, but we have to remove the fish and clean it once a week or it becomes a murky mess. You're better off just buying a regular bowl. Also, as another reviewed stated, you will need to buy a heater or your Betta will be too cold.
