Cucinare Food Strainer- Premium Stainless Steel Fine Mesh Strainer- 8 inch size

Unfortunately, I have to amend my orginal glowing review of this sieve, which was premature. A few weeks ago I noticed, to my surprise, that a bit of mesh was pulling away from the rim! But, even worse today. As I was using the sieve, in a completely correct way, to my shock and disbelief -- the handle broke off! It had been soldered to the rim!Large fine-mesh sieves are frequently used to strain hot foods such as soup ... a poorly made, cheap-quality sieve can be a DANGEROUS implement in the kitchen. As such, I am downgrading this item to the 1-star it deserves. A handle snapping off could cause a nasty scald or burn! I Do Not Recommend this sieve!Footnote: I have sieves of all kinds (not from Amazon), in constant use, that have lasted Perfectly for Years! This Crappy sieve is only a few months old! Caveat emptor (Buyer beware!)!

I have needed a strainer fine enough that quinoa does not seep through - this one does the job perfectly!

The handle popped off on one side after only one use. This was never even put in the dishwasher. Also, it's terribly hard to clean.

Same as all the rest. The handle came off with the slghtest of pressure, for me during its first use. There are two tiny spot welds that hold it in place and neither of them were serious about holding anything. Too bad because the rest of the strainer is well made. Id return it but for 7 bucks I dont want to bother Amazon when I should have read the reviews before buying.

Good heavy quality. Comfortable handle. I have used to wash fruits and vegetables, as we as rinse pasta. Has survived 3-6 trips through the dishwasher nicely (top rack).

This was EXACTLY what I WANTED!!!!! A sturdy, super-fine strainer that's convenient to use--and EASY to clean! Thank you Cucinare for the quality!!!

Zero stars. Have had this for just over a year and the handle has completely detached from the rest of the strainer. It was not used very often. Thankful that the handle didn’t detach upon straining hot food.

After 10 months of use, the welds holding the handle to the trainer basket broke rendering the product unusable.

This a Strainer generouse proportions and no flour etc will spill over!value for money and very good materials used!No hesitation in recommending this firm and their products to you all as I recieved great service!Thank you all at Cucinare as you all obviously are trying very hard and succeeding!Rob.

Welds broke within three uses. Don't waste your money on this cheap copy of a real sieve. Much better products on this site for not much more, please shop around.

The sieve is a good size and would have been a decent buy except for the fact that the handle fell off within 12 months.

The strainer was just what I needed, stainless steel, good size.and well made. The item was well packaged, and arrived very quickly.
