The HARIOV60 'Mugen' Ceramic Coffee Dripper Size 02 features a glossy white ceramic body with a removable plastic base for easy cleaning. Its smaller bottom hole slows coffee drawdown, enhancing flavor extraction, while the internal diamond pattern optimizes flow and reduces surface tension, delivering a rich, balanced cup every time.

15 month review - Perfect coffee brewer
I've been using this every morning for the past 15 months. I use it alongside my regular v60 to make 2 cups. I prefer this version over the old design - the coffee drips a little slower, I can taste the extra extraction. I also prefer the design of the base, it fits better over larger mugs. No cracks or other issues from long term use.Between all my coffee brewers -- V60, V60 Mugen, Hario Switch, Kalita Wave, Chemex, AeroPress, Phin -- This V60 Mugen is my favorite.

Amazing experience
I didn't expect anything special from this funnel, just stronger coffee. But when I took the first sip, I almost fell off the balcony (literary exaggeration)The drink was so rich, a completely different taste compared to the usual V60.The funnel itself is made of nice ceramics, looks and feels very good.Recommended for purchase! ☕

Pour and walk away, easy and tasty but best for single cup brews
I wanted a coffee maker that's even simpler than everything else I already had (V60, aeropress, clever). The Mugen lives up.I can use any kettle. Pour carefully in circles, give it a quick swirl, and walk away; no preheat needed with medium roast. To clean, toss the filter an just rinse the cone in the sink. With all other brewers, you have to time things, either infusion time or pours. In terms of recipe, I don't follow their recommendation and instead I do the same 1 cup recipe I always do: 15g of coffee to 250g of water, grind size slightly finer than V60. Tastes delicious and pretty close to my V60.The only downside is that it is best suited for single brews. 24g of coffee takes forever to brew and does taste muted from declining water temperature. I will continue to brew 30/500g with the regular v60 02.

Same as most V Brewers, marginally better flow
One more of many variants of the pour over V filter. The claims of "no blooming' needed seems more marketing than real. Blooming does bring out better coffee than without. Unclear of the benefits of a cone without channels. The folder/hanger is a nice touch. Quality is very Japanese as one would expect though not clear where it is made. At this price not Japan I am sure. If you have never tried pour over coffee, this is a very inexpensive way to start and get good coffee too.

Pour over necessity
Highly recommended by many, including me. Produced a good cup after dialing in the grind.

Great no fuss pour over
It works great though it makes what I'd consider a half cup. The purists will hate me but I just pour one more dose of water on top and it makes a larger mug. As long as you follow the guidelines it makes a nice cup and its less of a hassle than the regular pour overs which is great for the mornings when you just need to do it and handle other stuff.

Absolutely Perfect
Over the past 50 years, I have amassed quite a collection of coffee drippers. Until I tried the Mugen, the Kalita 102 was my favorite. But, my goodness, how quickly the Mugen won me over. It makes a beautiful cup of coffee with subtle nuances other drippers completely fail to capture. The added bonus is that the Mugen requires a one-pour which means I can pour and then putter around the kitchen for three minutes or so until my cup of perfection is ready. I did buy an incredible *detachable universal coffee stand* (you can easily find it on Amazon) that is worth every penny. I wish I had this combo 50 years ago!

Comically slow to the point of uselessness
This review only applies to the ceramic version. My coffee is still dripping out of this thing as I write this, nearing the 8 minute mark with no end in sight. The plastic version doesn't have this issue, I believe it is because the grooves are deeper with the plastic version allowing more airflow or something to that effect. I got this because my plastic mugen formed cracks, but clearly I made a huge mistake. I wish Hario made the plastic mugen out of a more heat resistant resin, but sadly this is not an option.
