I was looking for an extra long shoe horn, as I have back issues & it's difficult for me to bend over to use the smaller ones. This one is plenty long when you're sitting down and it's very sturdy. I like the cord wrapped around the handle, which makes it easier to grip. I has a loop on the end, which makes hanging it up easy.

For those of you old enough to remember the thin metal shoe horns that you'd occasionally get for free at shoe shops back in the day, this shoe horn is nothing like it. For starters, it's much sturdier and made of thicker metal than those. It has a nice weight to it, and the wrapped handle provides a nice firm grip.The length is just about perfect for using it while standing up, and the curve of the tool is just right.If you're looking for a shoe horn, buy this one. For the price, you can't go wrong.

If you want a lanyard, it is a trivial matter to reduce the number of transverse loops mentioned earlier from 2 to 1, and then tie it off, and use the remaining length to tie a small lasso for the wrist ... or you can use a separate piece of paracord.}* (-1/2) Stainless Steel Stock, particularly in the handle, is a bit too bendable. They should have used a stock with a slightly higher stiffness/toughness, so that it would resist bending more, as well as return to original shape after use. I also wish this tool was about 2-3 inches longer, because it's not quite as long as I would prefer.Aside from these two minor nits, an excellent shoehorn. Recommended.

Sturdiness and comfort

Awesome! When you put this inside the back of your shoe, your heel slides right in! But wait, there's more! The blade is quite large--you could sharpen one edge and defend your home from murderous intruders. We're just getting started. The paracord handle grip must be several feet long. You could rescue puppies and kittens from a burning building hanging over a cliff with it. But there's still more! It's very shiny! It would be hella effective in signaling aircraft if you were in need of rescue. I plan to bring it with me every time I hike across a desert. Lastly, and most importantly, it's metal and conducts electricity. If you need to jolt your flux capacitor with 1.21 gigawatts from a lightning bolt, this could serve as a lightning rod. Whoever named this "Long Metal Shoe Horn - 15" Premium Extra Long" either has a gift for understatement or has no idea what a powerful tool they're offering to the masses.

I was looking for a longer shoe horn and one that wouldn't break.Before I found this one, I found several more expensive with reviews saying they bent.This one no bending and less expensive, so I purchased it.Came quickly and it is great! Helps me with less bending for my back and works well with no socks.Very pleased. Not sure how long the para cord wrap will last, but, it's ok now.

As I have made the transition to wearing more slip on footwear, I found the need for a decent shoe horn. The physical design has just the right weight and strength. The finish is well polished to prevent snags and it retains its shape with minimal flex. The length makes it easy to use while seated with minimal bending.The only negative point I have is with the "Paracord" wrap on the handle. It is not true 550 cord and very flimsy. Mine was not wrapped well and came unraveled rather quickly. I find this to be a minor flaw as the quality of the rest of this item more that more than makes up for it. I will make time to rewrap it wil quality material (perhaps leather) at a later time.If you don't mind rewraping the handle, it is a great purchase for the price. I would definitely buy another one of these.

I have another long handled shoe horn I used with my dress shoes and it works fine for those. When I started wearing slip on work boots the old shoe horn just wouldn't fit down between my heel and the inside of the boot, too round and thick. I ordered this hoping it might work and I was shocked. My boots are a tight fit on purpose and this thing works great. It is very stout and can handle the pressure when sliding my work boots on without any concerns of bending or breaking. I have even started using it with my dress shoes!

This item looks and feels like a martial arts weapon, but it also works perfectly well as a shoe horn. Right length and very sturdy. Really simplifies the job.
