Medline Remedy Clinical Silicone Cream, Vanilla Scented, 4 oz.

I purchased this product at FULL PRICE, and have not received any incentives or discounts in exchange for my review. I was first introduced to the Medline brand of skin creams when visiting my father in the hospital; he had been given a small tube of the Medline Phytoplex sensitive skin moisturizer as part of his "kit". He is not a big moisturizer user, so he gave it to me when he was getting ready to check out (I keep small tubes of moisturizer in my car, my purse and my office, so that it's always at hand, in addition to larger bottles at home). After using it for a few days, I was thrilled with the results (soft, moisturized skin, without any residual greasy feel), and immediately went online to order more. My hands have a tendency to be very dry - to the point where my skin will actually split/crack (and bleed) in the winter months. In addition, I'm allergic to a number of lotion ingredients, so I have to be careful about what I apply to my skin. As I was looking at the various options for the Phytoplex sensitive skin moisturizer, I noticed the Medline Hydraguard cream, and decided to purchase it as well. THIS CREAM IS A GAME-CHANGER! I have been using this cream on my hands 1-2 times daily (generally in the morning/mid-day after arriving at work, and again at night, just before going to bed) since mid-November 2018. Despite the dryness in the air at my office and at home, my hands have remained smooth and moisturized - no dryness or cracking at all! I've been so impressed with the Hydraguard cream that I recommended it to a colleague, whose 6th grade son has been suffering from frequent and persistent eczema outbreaks for the past seven years. Despite having tried numerous prescriptions to try to alleviate the flare-ups, nothing has worked for them, until they tried Hydraguard. My colleague reported that within one (overnight) use, his son's skin was significantly less red - and within a week, his son's skin showed no signs of eczema rashes. The family is thrilled - for the first time in seven years, their son doesn't have to deal with itchy and inflamed skin. My colleague is so excited to finally have a solution that he's planning to take a tube of the cream to his son's dermatologist appointment in mid-January. Highly recommend!

I had try skin and tried many lotions and other topical treatments from aloe to vaseline. This is by far the most hydrating lotion I've ever used while also being one of the least uncomfortable. Other lotions that hydrate well leave a film on your skin that you can feel and if it gets wet at all immediately feels super slick or slimy. this lotion actually absorbs into the skin and the moisture barrier it creates is much less noticeable. in fact I use much less of this lotion and get more hydration. The only time I every felt it was slick on my skin was after applying too much (because I had neglected my skin for a week) then sweating a lot on a hot day at work. otherwise its hardly ever noticeable.

This product is great! It is definitely worth the price. I have sensitive skin and this lotion didn't make me break out. You don't need a lot of it and it makes your skin feel so soft. It has a great smell and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a great lotion. It is not like other lotions, definitely recommend and will keep buying because you don't need a lot so it lasts. It is worth the money!

I used to use Aquaphor for my severely dry skin, but always hated the greasy feel of petrolatum. So glad I decided to try this silicone based product. Feels so comfortable and nourishing, but without that greasy feel. And the vanilla scent is so comforting. I’ve used this on both face and body, and even use this as a makeup primer to lock in all my prior skincare steps before makeup.

I tried this lotion when I visited my sister in a hospital. I was so impressed, I took a picture of the label and began my search for it upon my arrival back home. It took some time to find this exact product and it was a little pricey but I beleive you get what you pay for. This lotion is worth every cent. It hydrates my hands but doesn't leave a greasy residue. This is the first product I've found that doesn't make my hands leave a smear on my touch screens. I bought two tubes and expect them to last a while so that justifies the price. Since I know where to order in the future, I expect to be a regular customer.

I work at a healthcare facility and this brand is what we get sometimes for our hand lotion. Very effective and protective, especially we wash our hands frequently. Now I use it even outside of work because it is that good.

Feels good and works well

This is amazing stuff for after being burned. It's thick, smells great, & stays on. Hubby was cooking bacon. The grease got him. So, hospital visit. They suggested this for the healing process. You can barely see it now!

It’s strangely difficult to find a cream where silicone is the main active ingredient. I had tried another brand but hated the smell. This cream is great. The smell is very faint but also very nice. But very faint - and that is key. When applying, it leaves that smooth silky feeling thanks to the silicone. I’m using it on scar tissue in an area not suitable for silicone tape. The scar tissue was tight and would feel like it was tugging with movement. This cream has helped in a short time.

This product also helped with jock itch. I was having troubles with the inside of my legs and this stuff work amazing, itch was gone in 2 days.

I bought this for my mom who has cancer and is on chemo. The treatments leave my mom with bowel issues that can lead to burning and pain. She has said this cream has helped a significant amount and prevents skin breakdown. So far she says it beats out diaper creams and other medical creams.

I was hospitalized for 6 days unable to shower I had to use wipes and in those days I got a raw like rashes under my breast and skin fold I found Medline Remedy Hydraguard with Phytoplex in the hospital and started to use it and took it home the rashes started to go away within 4-5days ... and now I use it just when I see any sign of a rash to prevent a spread EXCELLENT PRODUCT for people that suffer with this problem. A bit pricey but worth it.

I had just run out of my $300 wrinkle cream, which showed poor improvement. I had this from a hospital stay and the very next day my puffy eyes were not puffy or wrinkled and the lines around my mouth were fading. Best bet for your $.
