The Reverse Pilgrim's Progress - Burning Issues
Mr. Badman is just plain BAD. Little sins in little children get magnified into bigger and worse sins. Mr. Badman truly has every bad trait anyone could ever have. He started with lying and stealing, graduated into drinking, cheating and adultery, and then becomes a first-class hypocrite to snag himself a wealthy Christian woman for marriage. While he was sick, he cried out in false repentance only to regress as soon as he was getting well. The saddest and most touching part of the book is the death of his Christian wife and her exhortations to him and their unsaved children. From then on, it's all downhill, as Mr. Badman's seared conscience admits no light, and God gives him up to his destruction. This book has everything NOT to do if you don't want to end up like Mr. Badman. It is also very relevant with the issues of today, drunk "driving", planned "parenthood", and bankruptcy and fraud. Hot summertime reading.

One of the Most Convicting Books You'll Read
John Bunyan's "Journey to Hell" is in my opinion one of the most convicting books I think I have ever read.Bunyan does an excellent work of examining the life of a recently departed man through the eyes of two friends who examine and discuss the deeds of the dead man and compare it to what Scripture says. This book is well worth reading.

The Pilgrim says:
If you liked Pilgrims Progress by this author, you will be intrigued by his main character, Badman, as he goes his own way in life. The contrasting efforts of Mr. Wiseman to help Badman find his way to righteousness should be examined carefully by everyserious Christian who does not want to end up in Mr. Badman's position. Beyond that, I choose not to go lest I spoil for the readerthe excellent journey through God's word that awaits you.I would also recommend "the Holy War" by John Bunyan. It's an inspiring story.

Note: The seller was excellent! The version of the book; my mistake😖
The book purchased was a modernized, updated version, making it (for me) a disappointing, washed-out experience. The power of the author's work is drained and the reading event is shallow when editors feel the need to "fix" the original...

You will need Patience to make Progress in this book, Pilgrim.
The entire book is a conversation between Wiseman and Attentive regarding the demise of Mr. Badman. Wiseman basically lectures Attentive (and the reader) on the vices of Mr. Badman in a most long winded fashion. I had thought this would be similar to Pilgrim's Progress however that is not the case. I did not care for this book.

Classic and Worth the Read!
Bunyan is Bunyan and always worth a read. Let him teach you allegorically about the Christian life or the lack of it.
