The media could not be loaded. Great, cute, and nostalgic way to store/charge an Apple Watch, while engaging the "Nightstand mode" display. Elago is a brand I trust so I wasn't surprised to find these are well made, and work as advertised. Getting the USB-A plug through the W3 opening was a wee bit difficult (had to flex the back of the "Mac" a bit), but a USB-C plug will slip through fine.Some reviews are claiming that charging is intermittent. Discounting that those reviewers are using dodgy, third party chargers, there is a slight idiosyncrasy with these that I noted using OEM Apple chargers (one plastic provided with my Series 6 Watch, one metal 1M charger bought from Apple). The chargers sit very slightly back in the well they slip into. The shape of the stand could lift the watch 1mm or 2mm (max) off the charger ... but I also found that equally as many times the watch lifted the charger out to make a solid contact.My solution? I cut two "spacers" out of the box the stand came from. You can use a US quarter coin, or an actual charger, as a guide. Either way, using scissors, X-Acto knife, or compass cutter (for supreme neatness) I cut out two circles from the box to place underneath the charger. (I tried a coin, but it was too thick. Stick with the paper box.) ONE was not quite enough, THREE were too much. Two were just right; Goldilocks would be pleased. With two of these spacers inserted behind the charger, the charger sits flush against the "lip" of the charger well of the stand. The watch immediately makes solid, magnetically held contact, and charges flawlessly. The positive contact positions a 40mm Apple Watch at the center of the "screen" and sitting about 2mm above the bottom of the slot. In my impromptu test, sliding the watch into the slot made perfect contact 19 out of 20 times. I have to actually push the watch down to shift it off the charger.This is a very easy modification to make, and is not visible at all. After making this change, my 40mm Series 6 Watch charges quickly.I bought both the W3 (classic Mac) and W4 (blueberry iMac), and both allow you to gently coil excess cable from a 1M charger cable in the back. The W3, you need to be carefull not to coil so loosely that the bottom doesn't sit flush on a flat surface. The W4, the opening is small so you need to very carefully turn the cable while coiling inside the stand. Or you can simply coil the cable once or twice at the USB charging port.Nightstand mode on the Apple Watch is superb, check the Apple Watch User Guide for more info. Movement or vibration near the watch wakes the display. It is said to gradually brighten when an alarm is approaching.See pics for examples.

I bought one for me and the G3 iMac for my wife. Both are terrific. I have an xdoria defense case on my 42mm watch. It adds a bit of bulk and the screen doesn’t line up, but it still slides in perfectly and still charges. It’s an absolute perfect fit without the case. My wife has a 38mm watch with the same case. Without the case, her watch is a bit small for the screen, but again, it still charges while sliding in perfectly. With the case, it’s another perfect fit. The build quality is also great. They are heavier than you would expect and satisfying to hold. We are thrilled with the functionality and the looks. They are by far one of my favorite purchases!

Very neat retro style charging stand for the apple watch, fits the apple watch and the charger snug, super easy to run the stock apple watch charger through.

This is so stinking cute. You do have to be sure the charging part isn’t flush with the opening and that it protrudes a bit or it won’t stay connected to the watch. I’m a happy customer.

I had received this as a gift, and it is ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE. It is a perfect fit for my 1st-Gen 38mm Apple Watch.One of the challenges I have found with various charging docks is that the docks are not well-weighted, so while putting your thing ON the dock is easy, taking it OFF of the dock is not... often times, the dock wants to come with the device that is docked! That is not the case with this little guy! The dock itself is weighted well enough that docking and undocking your watch can be accomplished easily with one hand. In case you're a little clumsy (like I am), it's conveniently made of a heavy-duty vinyl-like plastic, so you don't have to be perfectly coordinated when docking or undocking your watch... an added benefit to this is less risk for breakage, and it just -feels- nicer.I ended up with the White, and it is the perfect soft whitish-grayish color that many computer/monitor enclosures were made of in the early 90s. This is a perfect, useful gift that won't break the bank.

This is my favorite Apple Watch charging stand. It’s not just a fun design, it is also surprisingly the most functional charging stand I’ve had. No matter what band I’m using, the way the silicone wraps around the watch face makes it really easy to put the watch in and take it out, but it keeps it securely in.Setting it up is relatively easy too. You just run the USB end of the Apple Watch charger through and gently push the base into your place. There is a groove in the back that you can put the charging cable coming out, so the whole things is one unit that sits flatly on your desk and can be moved around if needed.Even if this didn’t have a classic Macintosh design, it’d be a five-star charger. It makes a gift for any Apple lovers.
