I placed an order for the motor for my motorized blinds. I had removed the previous motor so I knew all the specifications I needed. I'm handy and do most things myself , so I believed I had order the right part. After I placed the order, the company reached out to me and ensured through photos, that I had indeed ordered the correct part. This was not needed as I had measured etc, to ensure I had the right size, speed and remote frequency etc. That being said, they went above and beyond to ensure I did have the correct part, instead of just letting me figure it out and hope everything would work out. I installed the new motor, paired it with my old remote (I made sure the frequency was the same as my current remote), set the new motor limits and my "favorite" position and boom! Good as new! So for anyone that might be afraid to do a DIY motor replacement for your motorized blinds; rest assured that if you're ordering, they will ensure you have the correct part and that it will work with whatever motor you are replacing for your current motorized blinds system. You can YouTube how to replace the motor. Super easy. I saved myself over $600. The company that I originally purchased my blinds from, wanted to replace the entire set of blinds just because of the motor. They said I couldn't even get a motor for it. Do your homework and you should be able to save alot of money! Very happy so far!

I have upgraded my existing 6 living room blinds with Rollerhouse rechargeable motors. It worked like a charm, with a little customization (once inserted, the motor makes the blind assembly almost a quarter inch wider). In the end I was able to make up the difference. There was a problem with the delivery but the seller worked hard to resolve the issue. I am very pleased with the DIY upgrade. It would have cost me a couple of thousands more to do it commercially.

I ordered 8 of the 32mm and 2 of the 50mm motors to retrofit my Bali solar shades. I ordered the motors in small batches. One of the orders was lost in transit but Amazon allowed me to easily cancel and reorder it. I opted to reuse my brackets which required a significant amount of cutting/drilling shaping to adapt the legacy manual drive components to work with the motors. For those who aren't handy with shop tools, I would consider buying the Rollerhouse brackets made for their motors instead. The 32mm motors came equipped with drive and idler collars that fit nicely within the tubes used in the roller shades. Unfortunately, the 50mm drive and idler collars did not fit with the 50mm Bali shade. The ID of the aluminum tubes used in my shades have a number of ribs and other "features" that may be specific to the solar shade manufacturer's super expensive motors. Rollerhouse is building up it's inventory of adapters but may not have the one that fits your shade. However, I was able to easily cut out a slot in the 50mm plastic drive and idler collar that they supplied to make it work for my roller shade. If you don't mind making mods with a handsaw and box cutter, then you will have no problem doing it yourself. I purchased the 15 channel controller to control my shades. I also have Broadlink RM4 so I can control my shades using a cell phone app. The Rollerhouse customer service is super responsive and helpful.

I wanted to convert some older Hunter Douglas Silhouette (Zebra) pull sting shades to motorized shades and there were no motors available that would fit the Hunter Douglas 26.5mm tube. After good support from the Rollerhouse group I ended up with the 28mm motor and a fabricated bracket, some spacing material and a square key. See photos for the bracket. It was made out of 50mm x 70mm x 2mm thick aluminum angle. The tang that holds the motor is 10mm wide and fits perfectly in the motor end socket. The other end of the bracket slides into the slot where the original end cap was. Since my blinds were inset in the window casing, I didn't need anything to hold the bracket in place. On the drive end of the motor, which was just under 26mm, I added a 4.5mm square key 1 inch long which fit perfectly in the Hunter Douglas tube drive slot. The key is held in place with 3 wraps of aluminum tape. This tape added the dimension I needed to get a good fit in the tube. The idler end of the motor also needed some aluminum tape for a good fit. Please have a look at the photos. The Rollerhouse RF Blind motor 9 channel remote paired easily to a Broadlink Hub, and the blinds now automatically rise at sunrise and lower at sunset. They also work as expected with Alexa. I found the Rollerhouse support group to be very responsive and helped to resolve this problem.
