I really like this Alpro rice milk; although it’s a little thinner in consistency, it’s a lovely white colour that looks similar to cow’s milk..I’ve tried it with cereal, porridge and tea. I wasn’t too keen on it in my tea but it was more the appearance than the taste; it just made my tea look very thin and dark and there was a weird little cloudy deposit floating on the surface. It was lovely on cereal and used in porridge though. I think it’s slightly sweeter than cow’s milk and it has none of the chemical processing taste that I can often detect in my usual semi-skimmed.Priced at £12.80 (at the time of review) for a pack of eight 1L cartons, I think it’s good value for money at just £1.60 per carton. They are reasonably long dated and the pack I received is good for six months, so it’s worth stocking up on them at this price.

Alpro Rice milk is an excellent alternative to dairy-based drinks and I'm so happy to have found it.The taste is really great. It's not too sweet and not too bland, but a really nice balance. I like that it has a pleasant, subtle hint of sweetness without it being overpowering. The texture is really nice too; it's smooth and creamy, just like dairy-based drinks.I was really impressed with the quality of this product. The packaging is really great, with each bottle having its own individual seal. It's also really easy to store and doesn't take up too much space in the fridge.

I have tried most of the plant-based milk alternatives on the market but I have never tried rice milk so I was very excited to try it.If you are looking for a milk alternative for cereals rather than hot drinks, I would highly recommend this rice milk. It's got a nice amount of sweetness to it and tastes lovely. After trying many milk alternatives this will be my go-to for cereals, but not for hot drinks. For me, the consistency isn't right for hot drinks, and prefer using coconut or oat milk instead.This rice drink is very refreshing and has a subtle taste. This Alpro milk is great because it has a long shelf life and doesn't need to be stored in the fridge, prior to use. Great flavour, it is not as strong as soya, so if you're now starting on a dairy-free diet I definitely recommend this rice milk!
