I bought 3 of these shoe racks to use in 3 different places in my home: my kitchen pantry, bathroom closet, and my husband's clothing closet. They work well in all 3 locations.In the kitchen pantry, I had unusable space under the shelves. I could put things on the floor, but it still left dead space under the bottom shelf. The shoe rack is the perfect height and width to fit under the shelves, and it's sturdy enough to hold items like my tool kit, seldom used appliances, and Christmas dishes that were in the way in my cabinets. Another good thing to store on it would be those pesky cookie sheets, muffin tins, etc. that are hard to get out of my cabinet without making a fuss.I used one in my husband's closet for shoes and his shoeshine kit. He's a real neat freak, so he was very happy with getting his shoes off the floor and organized.I have a large bathroom closet in which I store many bulk supplies...toilet paper, paper towels, bottles of toiletry items, even wrapping paper, tissue paper, and boxes. Again, I had wasted space under the lowest shelf. I used the shoe rack for storing packages of toilet paper, boxes of garbage bags, large packages of soap, etc. to clear those off the shelves. It left me enough room that I was able to reorganize the shelves.The racks are very sturdy, easy to assemble, and easy to customize. The hardest thing about it was getting the boxes open!!! Did I say they came well-packaged?I think I'm going to buy 1 to put in the garage for dirty boots, and 2 for shoes in my closet. I'd also like a narrower one for my linen closet. Honestly, they are useful all over the house.

Very well-packaged for shipping, but easy to unpack and very easy to assemble. Had it together in less than 5 mins. I completely love this little utility shelf. It's well-made, sturdy and looks good. I like that it has a very simple design and blends into the background, especially once it's filled. I ordered this hoping it would really work in my bathroom and not be too big or become a focal point. It's perfect! I use it for storing towels. I placed it under a towel bar and there's still plenty of room for a bath towel to hang above it. I have some of the other Seville storage items and they have all been great quality so far. Highly recommend.4/6/18 Update: It's 2 years later and this mesh utility rack is still great. Even though it was in my bathroom for 2 years, no signs of rust and no problems. I just moved and am going to put it in my closet for either linens or shoes. Thinking of getting a 2nd one to stack on the older one. This is a great buy, very sturdy product, great for the price, too. Just noticed that one of the little feet and all 4 of the little black ball finials got lost in the move, so I contacted the company, Seville Classics. They replied within hours and turns out they don't sell those replacement parts, but they are going to send to me for FREE. What a great company! also i needed more storage and got the taller, narrower version, with slats instead of mesh, and it's also great. I store all the typical laundry supplies on it that I want to keep most handy.

First of all not related to the product, the packaging on this rack was top notch OUTSTANDING.Very easy to put together, although some of the fittings on each shelf that attached to the frame cross bars were a little tricky to align before snapping into place. Once put together the rack is very easy to move to designated space and holds together in a very sturdy fashion. It took me about 5 minutes to put together and I'm slow.The design just blends in and doesn't stand out, which I like. I have mine in a cedar closet so it kind of just disappears.Storage is ample for me for my shoes that I wear most of the time, but not for all of my shoes. I could use two of these for that. Each shelf will hold about 3 pairs of regular women's shoes,...4 if they're wider and clunky. Taller subjects would have to go on the top shelf.I only bought one unit because that's all I have room for, but I can see how stacking and adding other units onto this would make for a very functional, sturdy, yet economical set up for anyone who needs extra storage. Don't see why it couldn't hold other items rather than just shoes.Also the fact that they are easy to set up and break down makes for an easy transport for someone moving. It takes up very little room when broken down.I'm happy!

Love, love, love this shelf. I would give it 10 stars!! Sturdy metal frame with mesh shelves that is super easy to assemble, without tools. You don't even need to read the instructions. Just make sure to place the top shelf on first before locking the bottom 2 in place. If you mess up, no worries. I thought the overall design was brilliant. Excellent quality and packaging. I have 2 stacked in my closet to organize shoes, but this is definitely attractive enough to be seen. Perfect for shoes, towels or other lightweight items. (I'm not sure how much weight each shelf will hold. Probably not much.) The mesh shelves are ideal for all types of shoes. Unlike other slatted shelves where heels and small items can fall through. I wear a size 6 so I can fit up to 4 pairs on each shelf, unless they are bulkier styles. If you need more height, just remove one of the shelves. These will hold flat sandals or flip flops under the 1st bottom shelf. The middle shelves are tall enough for wedges, heels and athletic shoes. Not tall enough for short boots. Those can fit on top. I use the top shelf for jeans.This was packaged in the sturdiest cardboard box I've ever encountered. Opening it was quite a challenge as they liberally used extra,super-strength glue. (Wish I knew what type it was.) Ladies, you may break a nail opening the box. Other than that no complaints at all. Perfect!! I'd buy more if I had a bigger closet!
