Only thing I didnt like is the use of the word GD as a cuss word. But I love the story lines. I love the twist an turns. I can't wait to find out the ending. Great writing just that one word I dint like

I don’t know if it was me but this book was a little harder to get into. It just seemed all -over the place and the story lines not meshing like all of the others I have read.

JR Ward’s ability to bind you to her characters is unparalleled. I was unsure if I would be as invested with The Wolven series like I am with the BDB crew, but I definitely am. Great read!

Love every word of this book so much going on so many stories in the story I cried so much for Daniel and Lydia still hoping for a happy ending the action is intense I'm Dying to know Government agencies behind all of this Soldiers that look like real people killing everyone there so much action in this book I cannot wait I'm on to the next hope you enjoyed as much as I did

JR Wards work on the Black Dagger Brotherhood books and these spin-offs are simply amazing and I have covered them all. And just find myself waiting and look for the next one. Thank you so very much

I was expecting a lot more pizazz like the Black Dagger series. Instead, I found a series that went on forever and went nowhere. Really disappointed if I’m being honest.

If you have a chronic illness or are the loved one of someone who is, be cautious about this book. It explores the topic beautifully but painfully and could be triggering to some. Also, if you’re a fan of The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series, know that Lair of The Wolven is a much slower paced series where the HEA isn’t found at the end of each book and the suspense carries throughout the series. Still a great J.R. Ward read & I am looking forward to book 3.

This was definitely the middle chunk of a story that needs to be read in context. I'm afraid the next volume won't be out for a bit and my attention will be left hanging. So it goes. I am impressed with the main characters' development. If I have to wait a long time for the next one, I may end up re-reading the series from the beginning like I did this time.

Daniel is dying but Lydia is fighting to keep him alive. When Lydia shifts to wolf, she meets Blade and both fight against a soldier that is not human but biotic. Everything is going sideways and they must find out what is happening.

Excellent second book in the series and a cliff hanger for an ending. Lots of unexpected twists and turns making it really hard to put down. Now for book three…. It’s got to be great to match the first two in the series.

Dies ist die erste Rezension, die mir wirklich schwerfällt.Die Quintessenz vorab:Wer Black Dagger mag und in dieser Serie sucht, wird maßlos enttäuscht sein - auch wenn tatsächlich ein Teil des Buches bei den Brüdern stattfindet. In dem Fall muss ich sagen: Finger weg! (1 Stern)Wer ein Buch über Gestaltwandler erwartet, muss leider auch woanders fündig werden. Die Thematik bleibt - wie auch schon im ersten Buch der Serie - nur eine Randerscheinung. (1 Stern)Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass dies Buch schwierig zu verstehen ist für Leute, die von der Bruderschaft der Black Dagger noch nichts kennen - auch wenn, wie bei den BD Büchern, die Begriffe am Anfang erklärt werden. Also auch hier keine klare Kaufempfehlung. (3 Sterne)Wer Black Dagger mag und gewillt ist, sich auf eine Liebesgeschichte einer völlig (!) anderen Art und mit einem anderen Schreibstil einzulassen, kann an diesem Buch - wie ich - Gefallen finden (4 Sterne).Im Detail (keine Spoiler):Dies Buch ist nicht im Schreibstil der BD geschrieben, es ist teilweise sehr viel langatmiger.Diese Serie handelt von einem Paar, dessen Geschichte mit allen Höhen und Tiefen über mehrere Bücher hinweg beschrieben wird.Die Liebesgeschichte spielt in einem spannenden Universum von pharmazeutischen "Versuchen", wo sich erst nach und nach erschließt, um was es sich genau handelt. Wobei das auch nicht stimmt, denn immer wenn ich dachte, ah jetzt wird was klar, dann wird es im nächsten Schritt schon widerlegt. Sprich, ich fand es sehr spannend und auch am Ende dieses Buches hat man eigentlich keinen blassen Schimmer, was hier wirklich los ist, auch wenn vieles schon sehr viel klarer ist.Zum Lese-Erlebnis:Nach den ersten Seiten dachte ich: was ist denn das für ein Scheiß! Ehrlich, ich habe mich gefragt, ob ich weiterlese oder nicht, so sehr hat mich die Sprache/Ausdrucksweise gestört. Ich hatte keine Lust mehr. Diese Phase zieht sich so ca. über die ersten zwei Kapitel des Buches.In der nächsten Phase dachte ich: gähn, geht das irgendwann auch mal weiter? Lang und breit und dann nochmal von rechts nach links werden die Sachen durchgekaut... wenn das so weitergeht, verdient dies Buch sogar weniger als einen Stern...Aber dann wurde es WIRKLICH besser. Ich kann nicht mehr genau sagen, wie lang nun die anfängliche schwierige Phase war, ein Viertel des Buches? 20% oder 15%? Keine Ahnung. Aber letztendlich spielt es auch keine Rolle, weil man diese Schwierigkeiten am Ende wieder vergisst.Es wurde spannend, es gibt viele interessante Wendungen, die ich nicht vorraussehen konnte. Und die Geschichte ist an vielen Stellen richtig rührend.Und: mit diesem Buch ist die Serie noch nicht abgeschlossen und so wie es sich anfühlt, könnten es auch noch mehrere Bücher werden. Das hängt natürlich von den Verkaufszahlen ab, von daher schwer zu sagen, aber ganz ehrlich, ich persönlich möchte definitiv wissen, wie es weitergeht und werde den nächsten Band auf jeden Fall kaufen.Wer einen "Cliffhanger" befürchtet, braucht sich keine Sorgen zu machen: man kann an dieser Stelle beruhigt eine Pause machen.Ich hoffe, sie dauert nicht zu lange!

I love the flow an speech patterns used for the different characters. Her stories are always well thought out an they flow. A really good author and a great series.

I can't see it yet and that makes me sad, I so want this all to have a happy ending and will be broken if it doesn't all work out. Such a powerful story with depth and soul, I'm looking forward to how this all comes together, oh and pleeeeease let Gus be ok, I will not be alright with any other outcome!!!!
