VCT USA to Europe Travel Plug Adapter Grounded German Shucko Plug (VP-11W)

I've been looking for a simple adapter that will take a USA plug and allow it to be used in European electric sockets. This VCT plug adapter does that and does it well.I've had variants of this type of product for many years and usually the problem is that they made flimsily and the sockets are loose, leading your electrical device to fall off the plug. This one is well built and the slots are snug.Also the adapter does not extend too far from its own slot, so does not prevent you from using multiple plugs.

We have a friend that lives in Germany that recommended this plug to us. We have traveled to Germany,Austria and Hungary 3 times and this little plug works just great. We have used it to charge our camera,Kindle and to use our netbook without any problems.It also worked for us in Venice,Italy. We had to buy a separate plug for Switzerland which uses a 3 prong plug not a 2 prong plug.. The only problem was we bought 6 to take on our European vacation and returned with only one! We kept on leaving them behind! Thank goodness they didn't cost too much. Keep the plug on the ends of everything that you are using on your trip when you take it out of the electrical outlet. This way you won't leave your plugs behind.Buy one for everything you are using on your trip.

It's perfect to use as a permanent connector. Plug it into the original plug of your device, connect it to the jack, and forget about it. Very cheap, so you can afford to buy a dozen of them for various devices.The only downside I can think of, the fact that if you don't use it as a permanent connector (i.e. you need to unplug it every now and then), the connector likes to stick in the jack while you pull your device plug off it. So you have to pull the connector from the jack as well. Wish the connector's holes are a little tighter so they can grab the plugs stronger.

This review will be short and to the point. I am teaching English in South Korea and I needed a plug adapter for my laptop. This adapter is solidly built and works in every socket I have tried it in. Just be sure to check if your electronic device can support the voltage and frequency of the power type in the country you wish to use this adapter.Depending on how many devices you have, you may need to buy more than one adapter. Or buy one adapter and take a power strip with you. I have two devices, bought one adapter and forgot my power strip. Sad face. Just a friendly heads up to anyone going abroad to warn of potential power woes.

The picture of two adapters is deceptive advertising. When looking for adapter plugs I saw this and other plugs on Amazon. This listing shows two plugs in pictures and the price was attractive for two plugs.
