Better than Original
Sad that Ford didn't take are of this when manufactured. Simple part and made to last. Installed on 2017 F150 XLT. After reviewing videos online took a stab at it. My installation experience not as easy as those videos. I tried underneath the truck pen push but didn't work. Instead I used the hard plastic body tools from Harbor Freight and went in through the top. Once I got just a little opening in ring things went smoothly. Easy replacement and used a tad of grease on back of unit when I reinstalled. Went in lot easier than it came out. I highly recommend using this part if gas door won't close. Can be self installed with patience and caution. If taken to dealership or garage if they don't have this part buy one, it'll be the last one you'll ever need.

Better than OEM
Have not installed yet. But have looked at the original lever in the F150 gas door. Perfect match except for one key configuration difference. At the end of this rod is a cotter pin to prevent it from ever moving out of its position. But, to install this pin the gas cap door and seal must be removed. You can not install this pin on the vehicle. There is no room and little light up in the wheel well. Check YouTube for how to remove the gas cap door and seal. Short to say is that it should me removed using plastic tools. Harbor Freight has a set. But, also, it is not easy to remove.

Good part, hard to find out how to install on 2015+ models
I can't find instructions on removing the gas filler part for any 2015+ and later models. I'm sure the part will work, but I can't find a video on removing the piece. There are plenty for the 2014 and older. This is not the supplier's problem, but if anyone can post a video on how to pull out the fill assembly to install this part it would be great!

Good quality
Bought this for a 2015 Jeep, guess I can’t read since it clearly says F150. Regardless it did fit my Jeep but was too short for the cotter pin to be used. However, it fixed my fuel door and this is a very well made item. It’s not going to bend of break like the plastic oem pin. Great design and quality.

Almost Too Good
Installed in my 2016 F-150 SuperCrew. Took under 30 minutes but definitely want to know a little bit of what you are doing going in. Almost too good of a part replacement and upgrade though since now it slams my fuel door closed, which is good in this economy at least.I put together a video on YouTube if you search and need assistance installing it.
