Most formula smells weird. This one smells delicious and both of my ringnecks love it. They are way too old for formula now and will still BEG for this. They fly to me if they even think I have the bag and beg like tiny babies.I have taste 5 stars but I can’t personally vouch for the taste 😂 I’m just judging by the way mine are crazy for it.

Switched my flock to this because they were wasting so much of their old pellet and this is also very high nutrition and no sugar, dyes, etc. The pellets are more round and don’t turn into dust in the bag as much-kinda like a small dog kibble. These are the larger pieces, though so go with the smaller sizes for smaller birds. This is just right for my caique and IRN and less eased food in the water dishes in the morning

Soy de Honduras y pues este es un producto que no encuentro disponible, por más de un año busque la marca y ahora me encuentro que el distribuidor oficial ya la vende en Amazon.Tengo dos Amazonas albifrons, les ofreci la croqueta y hasta que simule comerla pues ellos se animaron a comer y que les encantó, luego buscaron la bolsa para seguir comiendo de ellas.Lo único malo y por lo cual doy 4 estrellas es porque siento que la fecha de vencimiento es corta, recién la recibi el 29 de abril 2025 pero la fecha de vencimiento es el 01 de 2026. Espero no desperdiciar nada, por ello elegí la presentación más pequeña.

Psittacus is made to very stringent EU standards, and is all non-GMO. Of all the available natural colored pellets (because I won't feed artificially colored pellets) available in the US, Psittacus as a brand has the most Vitamin A and beta carotene of any pellet brand; most parrots in captivity are Vitamin A deficient, and beta carotene is converted to Vitamin A in the bird's body.Yes, there is soy in it. There is also soy in every single other pellet out on the market too (Harrison's, Kaytee, Pretty Bird, Mazuri, Roudybush, Zupreem, HIggins, Lafeber, and Hari - except the Alternative which zero of my birds would eat...and Top's). At least with Psittacus it is non-GMO. If you aren't familiar with the EU food laws, you should check them out. Far more stringent that in the US, and even more than Canada's.All the food is made in Spain, where Psittacus has been leading nutrition in Europe too (and I compared European pellet composition too!), and shipped to the US. All the bags are super thick and durable mylar-type bags, so your bird's food is fresh when it arrives to you.I have a large number of adult rescue birds who have arrived in poor health, weight, and with bad nutrition on top of it all. They are all in lovely feather, with healthy skin/beaks/nails, and Psittacus is a definite factor in their improved health; the best pellet on the market still has to be eaten for it to help, and the Psittacus lines are all liked by my flock....and I have tried A LOT of other pellets over the years!These are medium-ish sized pellets, and smell naturally fruity, not fake. I use them to change up the evening dinner routine for the flock, while still providing quality nutrition in doing so; however, Psittacus Omega is my most-used and most-beloved pellet.My avian veterinarians love Psittacus. I trust my beloved flock to Psittacus, and I have seen the results over the past year I have been feeding it. My birds like it, they look great, their lab work is great, and they don't waste it.My review won't show up as a verified purchase because I buy direct normally through Psittacus USA where the entire product line is available.
