Love these envelopes, the subtle shimmer and fairly neutral Crystal Metallic color means this will go with about any color palette you want to work with. They're sturdy and appropriately sized as advertised. The adhesive backing is good quality as well.I really appreciated the reviews mentioning smudge issues, so in the spirit of being helpful (and cautious) I did an ink test across a few different pens I had lying around: 2 different width pens with archival ink, one ballpoint (oil-based) ink, and one gel ink. I did a 5-second, 1-minute, and 5-minute smear test with these pens.I can understand why some people were frustrated and others had no issues. You can see the results for yourself in the picture, but basically-- don't use gel ink on these envelopes. Ballpoint almost never smudged, but I don't think it looked as nice as the archival ink (which barely smudged either). Ballpoint was just a little too thin and maybe because there's a very subtle texture to the envelope's finish, the letters I wrote occasionally faded a little. If you go with archival ink just keep a mental note to not touch it for a full minute, and even if you do, at least it still won't smear horrifically the way the gel ink did.

I used these for my diy wedding invites. The sealing tape saved a ton of time. They're a good weight, and held up with printer ink and stamp pad ink without smearing.

We used the gold envelopes for our wedding invitations and they were perfect! We wanted something a little different to send our invites in so they stood out a little more in the pile of mail. We put clear labels on them for addresses and worked great! We’ve gotten a lot of compliments on the invites and the “pretty gold envelopes”!

The color and shimmer of these envelopes are great! Used them for my wedding invites and addressed them with white ink. So pretty and easy to use with the adhesive closure.

The envelopes have a pretty sheen to them and were perfect for my wedding invitations, but they are a little see through. And I only received 46 envelopes instead of 50!! Luckily, I didn't need all 50, but still unfortunate.

We ordered these to use with our wedding invitations.The cost was much lower than a lot of envelopes we’d seen - so went in to this slightly apprehensive. Our only complaint was that they were packaged in a thin layer of plastic which suffered some damage during transit. This meant that the front envelope was unusable.Other than that, couldn’t be more impressed. The adhesion is extremely good. Once sealed, these bad boys aren’t opening without a great deal of force, so you don’t have to worry about adding that ‘small bit of tape’ to stop them opening when being mailed.They have a super premium feel and a nice sheen. The quality of the product for the cost is outstanding - we definitely recommend to anyone looking for envelopes for that special occasion.

PERFECT size for my 5X7 wedding invitations. They were sturdy and sealed pretty well. My only complaint was that the gold didn’t quite pop the way I wanted but it had a slight sheen. Overall a good product
