Pyramex SL Series Cap Style Hard Hat

It was a bit more than I wanted to pay for a Halloween costume, but it worked! I can't attest to whether or not this would protect your noggin on a construction job, but it seems heavy duty enough...... NOTE: We did take the inner part so that it was loose enough to cover my husbands eyes (part of the costume), so the picture makes it look way too big- it's not! Just doesn't have the insert installed.

Bought it to cut tress and very easy to setup, use, lightweight and price is very good.Will buy again.

My son likes Handyman Hal. We bought this for his 4th birthday. Like other reviewers have mentioned the helmet adjusts to child size small. It’s also comfortable and adjusts for my head. I do not intend to need to test it out for actual safety but it looks pretty sturdy and I’d trust it if I needed a construction helmet on short notice.

I apply tangle trap to this helmet for protection mostly from deer flies and it works like a charm. The color attracts the flies and the sticky film that I apply captures them. It is the best solution that I have come across for dealing with the pesky bugs so far. I use spring tweezers to remove the flies and reapply the sticky film as needed, usually about every month or so during fly season.

Great hard hat (purchased for safety, ratchets worked great. We bought 10 of them, and they were all perfect.

As hard hats go, this is probably a fine one. I returned it because, as another reviewer mentioned, it sat REALLY high on my head and made my head feel top heavy. There's no way to adjust that and without the chin strap (a separate purchase), I doubt it would have stayed on. I had a headlamp with hard hat clips and broke one of them trying to get it on this helmet. I have another helmet I use for wildland firefighting and they worked fine on that one so I know it's this helmet. If this was just for occasional use, for less than $10 it's probably a good option. I teach Map Your Neighborhood disaster readiness for my local fire department and recommend it for their under-the-bed supply kit. They like the color options.

Safety and comfort

Purchased this for my son who is entering the apprentice workforce as a electrician, however upon receipt of this product, you can clearly tell this is definitely not safe to use nor is this CSA certified. Looks like a toy for bob the builder type application or Handy Manny but most certainly not for any construction type applications. Immediately returned shortly after.
