Of all the things I bought for model painting, this was by far the best investment. This comes with 50 sheets of wet pallette paper which takes a long time to get through. Two sponges so you can wash one and have the spare ready to use and the elastic hoop which keeps it secure and airtight. The palette makes thinning and mixing paints easy and they last significantly longer before drying. Also when it's sealed it's remarkably good at keeping the paint wet. I've gone two weeks between paint sessions at times and opened the palette to find the paint I'd used before still wet and ready to go.

In my opinion, this is the best paint palette available. I find it to be perfect size, since I don't tend to paint for much more than an hour or two at a time and it's absolutely perfect for its job. The lid actually seals which makes a huge difference to keeping paint overnight and the materials are all very premium. Buy this and it's the only palette you'll ever need.

Perfect, and has last me for a very long time. Easy to clean, great quality materials. Everything about it is just ideal for purpose, down to the little rubberised base on the inside to keep your sponge from sliding about. It works well with both Redgrass and Army Painter paper and sponges, so I’m really happy. I’m sure it will serve me well for years to come!

A good size wet palette that does what it's meant to. Unlike the Army painter one, this one actually keeps paint wet and the paper is actually porous. A good size if you wanna take it somewhere with you as is a bit thinner than others I've seen. Looks quite snazzy too. But doesn't do anything remarkable. Pretty much what you'd expect for the price

I've considered buying a 'proper' wet palette for quite a while and was contemplating this Redgrass one and two others. Ultimately I picked this one as it distinctly mentioned a silicone gasket to keep help keep my paint wet and useable for longer and boy, does it keep your paint good for ages! Everything about this product feels premium, the finish is smooth, the seal is good and tight and even the elastic that helps keep it shut doesn't feel cheap. There's a reassuring weight to the whole thing, it's just the right size for my workspace and, did I mention it kept my paint in a usable state for a week? It did that too. Yes, you can make yourself a wet palette yourself with a Tupperware box, a couple of Jay Cloths and some baking parchment for half the price of this palette but it won't keep your paint as fresh, will go mouldy and is a bit of a faff. You'd be doing yourself a disservice, your minis deserve better. Buy. This. Palette.

Una palmera humedad es algo que si bien no es imprescindible para pintar si es algo que que se vuelve impresionante cuando se adquiere cierto nivel de pinturas de miniaturas o si simplemente se quiere mejorar en la tecnica. Una de esas cosas que marcan la diferencia. Una vez que se decide usar solera humeda lo normal es fabricársela uno mismo con una caja de plástico, una bayeta y papel de horno. Y esto funciona bastante bien. Así que cuando uno ve el coste de estas paletas profesionales le parece una locura. Pero la verdad es que sin ser algo imprescindible, teniendo la casera, la diferencia es abismal. Por varias razones: La estanqueidad de la caja es perfecta, algo muy difícil en una que se tenga por casa. El material de la “esponja” hace que absorba agua de forma impresionante (de verdad parece mentira lo que puede chupar). Y el papel sobre el que va la pintura es muy superior al papel de horno, deja pasar la cantidad justa de humedad. Y todo esto se traduce en que puedes dejar una gota de pintura y que diez días después esté prácticamente igual de fresca. Y todas las ventajas de una paleta húmeda casera multiplicadas por diez. Mérece la pena el desembolso? Pues eso ya depende de cada uno. Si se buscan los mejores materiales de pintura sin duda. Si que quiere mejorar las técnicas, también. Puedo ahorrármelo y seguir con mi paleta de toda la vida? Absolutamente. Yo he pintado durante diez años con una fabricada con una caja de destornilladores.
