Men's Convertible Gloves, 3M Thinsulate Thermal Polar Fleece Mittens with Flip-Thumb for Hunting, Hiking, Fishing

As someone in the Northeast who works outside for a living for up to 12 hours a day in any weather, I have very high standards for my gear. I need gloves that allow me to access my fingertips constantly while keeping my hands and fingers genuinely warm in extreme conditions. I recently put these to the ultimate test during a -20°F wind chill stretch, and they completely surpassed my expectations. ​I had previously used a set of gloves that cost three times as much as these, so I was honestly a bit weary about how such an affordable pair would perform. To my surprise, I was absolutely wrong. Not only are these super comfortable and versatile, they were actually warmer and better designed than my more expensive convertible gloves. ​The engineering on these is what really sets them apart. The thumb slot is a game-changer; it allows the top to be peeled back for bare-thumb access and then easily put back into place. Unlike other brands, the thumb piece is designed well enough that the cold doesn’t seep through the seams when it’s closed. The main mitten flap also contains a well-placed pouch for hand warmers. I was initially worried the material would be too thick for the heat to reach my fingers, but there is a thinner material inside the pouch that allows the warmth to radiate through perfectly while still blocking the wind. ​Even the small details are thoughtful. Instead of just relying on velcro—which we all know can wear down over time—these have a sewn-in spandex latch that keeps the mitten top secure even if the velcro fails. This is much better than the magnets I’ve seen on other pairs. The full leather stitching provides excellent grip for tools and equipment, which was the final selling point for me. ​My only minor complaint is that I wish the mitten flap was a little longer on the pinky finger, but it didn't cause any real inconvenience. If you work outside for long shifts in the extreme cold, these are a "Gem" of a find and an absolute buy. Follow the sizing guide and properly measure and these are the perfect gloves, perfect length, great color and can be tumble washed and air dried.

Excellent gloves, exactly what I needed. Very easy to use, warm, great grip, and great bang for your buck. Not too bulky but kept me warm in -1 🤷🏽‍♂️

I like flip up gloves because they are warmer. These are pretty good with the fingers but the thumb easily gets uncoverred and doesn't have much insulation so I find my thumbs getting cold with these gloves. these are probably fine for 30F weather but don't recommend for much colder. They would be better if the thumbs didn't flip and had more insulation there.

Thick, warm and comfy. I have a large hand (glove size L or 10 and ring size 12) and these fit great. The mitten flap has a dot of velcro to hold it over and also a stretchy strap. The flap also has a pocket in it, which could be helpful. I like the extra padding. The thumb cover is removable and stays out of the way (no magnet needed). The mitten flap goes over my fingers easily, I don't need my other hand to push it over. They are not overly puffy and obtrusive. The bands around my wrist is not tight nor are the fingers. Other companies are not at all warm and are twice as expensive.

These gloves are just what I needed for trips outside to clean snow off the car, get my keys out, and start the car, or to use my cell phone while out. Adequate in single-digit temps, but a bit 'snug' on the size, so order a bit larger than your normal fit. They are warm, but not waterproof, so don't let your hands get wet while wearing them! Workmanship is good, but did notice a couple of loose threads around the open fingertips after using for a while.. trimmed them back & all is OK. The fingertips are stitched around the ends to prevent fraying, and the 'mitten' caps are secured by both a velcro restraint and an elastic band, which holds them very securely when not in use. The wrists are protected by elastic wristbands, which keep them warm up into your coat. I use mine every day when it's cold and am happy with them.

I usually wear a large and a large in these is a bit oversized. I recommend a medium if you usually wear a large in gloves. They're well made and and comfortable, I just wish they were true to size. Seem like they'll be plenty warm. I doubt they're waterproof, since there a fleece-like material, but haven't had a chance to test how they handle water yet. I suspect they'll soak it up like a sponge.

These are really good! I hate the fact that being on the loading dock will probably destroy these over the winter but for dexterity and quality these are very good! They have pockets for hand warmers and even allow for your thumb to open if you are using touch screens. Five out of Five highly recommend!

These are nice gloves. The pocket is convenient and I like the strap that holds the top part back. Would be nice if they were warmer.
