poorly designed plastic stem holds steel connect and the interface fails at to0p because thin there. Bottom is thick and robust. Unit cannot be used without this piece. These design parameters for plastics have been known for over 4 decades. Retrograde design fail...sad to see.

I love this processor! My aunt gave it to us as a wedding gift and it's so handy! The light won't turn in unless it's properly locked in which is very handy so your food won't go flying or the bowl itself. I've made hot pepper purees, smoothies, and have plans to make buffalo chicken dip. It's really easy to use and really like that it's digital and easy to assemble for the dishwasher and store away.
