Excellent buy. Same 18/10 stainless steel as All-Clad.
I purchased the 7 quart pot and have no complaints whatsoever. The construction is sturdy, the heating surface is even, and the handles stay cool. This has gotten daily use during the four months that I've owned it so far and it's performance has been excellent. I've used it to sear, braise, saute, boil, etc. For those who aren't aware, this isn't a non-stick surface - which means it's excellent for browning meats and vegetables and creating a fond. It's 18/10 stainless steel - the same quality of steel used by All-Clad. This means it's equally resistant to corrosion as your typical $200+ version. It's not impervious of course, as stainless steel does react to acids and salt to a low degree. As a result, I care for my pan by:- not using it for storing cooked foods (as they typically have salt/acid in them)- washing and drying it shortly after use (never putting cold water on a hot pan, which can cause warping)- choosing a different pot if i'm going to be cooking something with salt/acid for an extended period of time (I use a crock pot for slow cooking)- cleaning it with a non-scratch pad (and baking soda, if I need to remove burned food)To be clear: this pot doesn't have the same construction as an All-Clad pot. All-Clad has multiple "sandwiched" layers of metal that make up the base AND walls of the pan. This has a single aluminum disc sandwiched between stainless steel on the bottom. The sides are one layer of stainless steel and the lid is glass. As a result, you will not get the degree of even heat retention from all directions, as you would in a much more expensive pot. That said, I believe this will serve most people well and it's a great buy at this price!

Cooks Standard are my favorite pans
When I needed a new Dutch Oven, it went looking for a Cooks Standard first. And I'm not disappointed. It's a good weight, heavy without being too heavy. It has a glass lid with steam vent, and comfortable handles on the sides and the lid, and is easy to clean. No worry about non-stick surface wearing off or leaching poisonous compounds into your food. And... It's beautiful to look at which is just a bonus.

Great Value - Excellent Product
This same brand is sold by Macy's. I have had several pieces of Tools of The Trade Cookware and I took a chance that this was the same cookware with a new name. I was very pleased to discover that it is. This is quality cookware. The heat is even and it very easy to clean. I wanted a Dutch Oven without the non-stick coating.... It seems like no matter how careful I am with the non-stick coating it starts to scratch and come off after a short period of time. I would highly any cookware from Cooks Standard.

Sturdy pot. Found out what the weird white spots are after use and how to get rid of them.
The pot is sturdier than I expected. Some stainless steel pots I bought before were pretty thin and flimsy, but this one isn't one of them. I love the glass lid which allows me to see the food cooking. After the first use, I noticed the weird white spots at the bottom like some reviewers mentioned. I did a google search and found out they might actually be minerals in the water which appeared when water evaporated. Just rubbing won't remove them. So I took on some suggestions I found by using a little vinegar and hot water. The spots are gone in no time! Overall I'm happy with the purchase.

Superb stockpot
We wanted a stockpot that could take higher heat than our Creuset and we're super happy we found this one. We've cooked soup, deep-fried chicken in it, and done a stir-fry, and the pot has been stellar. It's reasonably priced, beautifully made (tight rivets, deburred edges, mirror polish), and heats evenly. I also like the lid design, which has a pretty thick lower rim, so it hopefully won't ding up over time. The handles contain no plastic to crack, so hopefully it'll last a long time.On the downside, it's not the easiest to clean - but that is true of basically all stainless steel cookware; it's the price for not having to deal with Teflon or ceramic coatings flaking off over time. As of right now, it's a 5/5 for me. I was so impressed that I've bought a full set from this same manufacturer.
