This review is coming from an inexpert baker, so if there's a slight taste or cooking difference between silicone and metal, I'm not the person to comment either way. BUT what I CAN attest to is the easy clean-up! I usually use cooking spray, but the few times I forgot didn't make much of a difference-- the muffins popped out of their molds leaving a slight muffin residue that washed off easily. The muffins always pop out with zero resistance, and washing time is negligible. I love that the outside rim of the pan allows for easy placement and removal to and from the oven. The muffin molds are on the smaller side, but I haven't really found that to be a drawback. I purchased two pans originally, but after using them for a few months I bought two more. I did want to buy the same ones partially because I felt like storing them all together would be simpler than having different sized pans.

I used the muffin pan for the first time and loved it. The handles were rigid, not floppy like most silicone pans, and that made it easy to move in and out of the oven. The muffins baked evenly when placed directly on the oven rack and popped right out of pan. The only negative would be the cups are slightly smaller than the pan I used to use. Very nice pan!

Easy to pop the muffins out.
So much easier to clean than a metal pan. The cups are a little small but works great. So much easier to get the egg muffins to pop out.

Love this muffin pan. Everything slides right out without using nonstick spray. Sides don't brown but frankly that is a reasonable trade off for very easy clean up. I'm glad I bought a spare. Highly recommended!
